Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum had all the latest subjects. Some of the subjects were so new and tough that it was really difficult to find faculties for them. We had to engage with industry leaders in IT to study those subjects.
Internships Opportunities
As a policy there is no official internship but the college placement officer helps to get in touch with industry HR personnel so that we can easily find internships. The placement officer also gets in touch with alumni to again help us get internships. Wipro, HCL and Hughes offered internships ranging from 3 to 6 months. The stipend was from 12000/- to 22000/- in hand
Placement Experience
The placement is usually conducted in a centralized manner to enable companies to have a larger pool of students to select. At my time out of a total of 200 students almost 180 got selected. The compensation offered was from 3 lacs pa to 14 lacs pa. Some of the companies that came were Wipro, Hughes, TCS, HCL Technologies, Navarro system.
College Events
The college has its annual cultural festival which is one of the most sought after in south Delhi. The cultural festival tatva gets participation of almost 2000 students from various colleges of Delhi.The annual Sports Fest of the BBE-BMS department of CVS is called ranbhoomi which again holds events such as tennis basket ball cricket and football. We had participation from 14 colleges with 30 teams taking part.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since BSc computer science is a self funded course the fees is almost 30000/- per annum. For other courses the fees range from 4000/- to 12000/-. However the college provides scholarship not only to need students but also to toppers of previous years. The college does not have a hostel but again provides help for outstation students to get accommodation in malviya nagar saket and sheikh Sarai.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides all help for students to get education loans from nationalised banks. Apart from this fee waiver is guven to university topper. They are also planning to start scholarships for needy students from funds donated by alumni.
Campus Life
Since the college has vocational courses a lot of stress I'd given to let students join various clubs to enhance their knowledge. The cultural society is called REVERIE which encourages participation of students. The college alumni has a group which posts opportunities for fresher's in their companies and also keeps updating students on latest trends in their industries so the students when they graduate have all the latest know how to let me get jobs in companies
