Remarks

Overall recognition, crowd of the college, placements and exposure. Even since my schooling, it was my dream to be a DU student. Delhi University is well known for scholars and students who are good in academics as well as who are usually the cream of the 12th pass batch.I have searched on random websites on Google regarding the top 10 colleges of DU and I want to join a Co-ed college so preferences were, Ssrc, ramjas, Hindu, Venkateshwar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. As being in a general category it was quite hard to get a North campus, so landed on South Campus. On further research and information, get to know that SBSC is good one for Bcom Hons. So I decided to join it. Further alot of things were attractive and fascinating towards the college. As its being 70yrs of that college, I had my super seniors and seniors there, socities, teachers and even the canteen and infrastructure is also 8 out of 10. So it pleased me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Most of the students of Commerce choose Bcom Hons, so as I as it opens up alot of domains to explore and find your interest.I was clear about mine, so chooses it as I was into leadership, project mgt, finance, HR as well. So I want to explore all these and get to know the best that suits me. Teachers were supportive and Frank, some of them were a bit strict, but its fine as they were putting all their effort together into us.Coming to the exam part, it takes twice a year known as semester exams and internals depends upon the subject, if it's of theory then 2, if it's practical then may be 1 or 2, completely on discretion of the teacher. But if you have attended the classes even with 50% of your attention you will easily get 60+ score.

Placement Experience

4

If you are a graduate you can easily get a entry level job.Although the college tries to get placed most of their students. The Placement cell, provides three categoriesCategory A : Audit ProfilesCategory B: Non Audit ProfilesCategory C: companies with package of more than 9 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure in most of the DU colleges is comparatively low as that of private collegesScholarships are granted to the needy ones and financial assistance is also provided. Campus jobs are a great thumbs up here as more than 190+ students get placed, and top 10-15 companies visits.

Campus Life

4.5

Woah, the best part of college is getting exposure and new circles, believe me it's awesome. You can have your books through the library, classrooms r quite spaceful, sports and other activities are on fledge, and societies and clubs are a great way to enhance your skills.

Hostel Facilities

4

Some colleagues of mine have, like some colleges in DU provides hostel facilities but more than hostels people prefer PGs and apartments. As its completely their choice to choose one.In some colleges hostel facilities are not being provided

Admission

YesFor joining the society you need to pass through different rounds Assessment (written or mcq) Group Discussion Personal Interview GD includes some basic topics or current topics eg covid, gst, pak vs ind, bjp vs Congress, and etc

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
