Remarks

Location, college status(institute of national importance), easy travel from and to my hometown. For admission had to participate in JoSAA counseling which was scheduled a month after the results of JEE advanced was released.

Course Curriculum Overview

Only two branches available- CSE and ECE. Chose CSE as more in demand and better placement records. Faculty is average, keeps changing as it is a new institute. Teaching method is also average. Student ratio of boys to girls is 9:1.

Internships Opportunities

I was offered internship at Ugam solutions. Although the internship criteria is not very good but placements are no e in the college. The internship was of two months duration. I got to work on a real time projects with a huge team of experienced professionals and interns from other colleges.

Placement Experience

From the third year the students become eligible for internships and from fourth year for placements. At the end of third year, the students take summer internship at some industry. At the completion of the internship, a PPO (pre placement offer) is provided by the company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

No financial assistance from college. Scholarships given by state government was only available. Fee Structure is fixed. Good job offers from campus. Many companies visited which offered 12lpa and above.

Campus Life

College Life is average. Since college does not have a campus of its own( share the campus of SVNIT Surat) all the clubs and fest are hosted and conducted by the mentoring institute only. The land has been finalised and construction of an individual campus is ongoing.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is same for all SVNIT and IIIT Surat students. It is within the campus itself. The hostel mess is nice. There is also a canteen within the hostel. Hostel has around 800 and above rooms. There is a very casual attendance criteria I'm the hostel.

Admission

No group discussion or interview was there for admission into the college. Had to clear JEE main to get a seat in the college. After clearing the exam, I had to participate in online JoSAA counseling where I got a seat in the college. Then there was the document verification process at the end of counseling.

Placement Experience:

Alembic,pollycab and sunpharma are visiting this callage and I don't know about Highest package but the average like 500000 and the students are have more than 8 CGPA so they are definitely eligible for the placement

Placements start to comence from 7th sem.It is the eligibility criteria for all students. Companies like Sopan Industries etc have visited the campus for placement purpose. Highest package was of around 4.9lpa and average is around 3.4lpa Most students who got placements were those with an average CGPA of 8.6

Review of iiit surat

I want to study in western part of india i.e. gujarat or maharashtra. So I've encountered all best colleges in these two states, offcourse iitb will be number 1 but i have just cleared advanced and not even scored good marks in it and in mains i got 40k rank so i couldn't get into circuital branch in nit nagpur and nit surat, so i have decided iiit nagpur , iiit surat and iiit pune. Unfortunately i couldn't get into iiit pune due to high cutoff and got seat in iiit surat in csab 2024. These college only accept jee mains score and no exams will be accepted for b.tech admissions, General cutoff of my college for cse is 35k and for ece is 47k in jee mains....Read More

IIIT SURAT IS IN BUILDING PHASE

The college is very simple it focuses of an academic really very well and you don't get any cultural and sports academics benefit Radhe you should off for another college of you have interest in sports and cultural activities apart from it the academics are very hectic and for the admission you have to go through and you get this college the admission process of quite simple as you have to report and you have to just follow the procedures as we have been told in jail...Read More
