1. Physics department is well equipped and one of the strongest in our country, natural choice for pursuing my desired branch 2. Well connected to Ahmedabad through a flight, the campus is in close proximity to the airport as well as to hangout spots like malls etc Admission process is easily available online.
Course Curriculum Overview
My department has approximately 50 professors, all of them are extremely qualified and top researchers. The number of students in a course vary from 10 to 300. Methodology of conducting exams is upto the professor of a particular course, and is generally manageable if studied properly. Exams are not too tough in general.
Placement Experience
The process of campus placement starts as soon as the student enters their final year. The placement data has been published online already with a very detailed statistics. My plans after getting the degree is to obtain a job in analytics profile. The placement team is very helpful through the process.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Well, we do receive a lot of emails offering scholarships from various private organization's. There is also scholarship in case of family income less than 5 lacs. Since I am pursuing pure research, I received inspire scholarship from the government. College has an extremely well organised structure for conducting on campus internship and placement drives. Although the variation in profile is limited, most of them being centered around soft dev or analyst or electrical engg.
Campus Life
The library is massive and provides computer facilities as well, with almost all books that are needed. Annual fest is saarang, tech fest is shaastra, they are conducted in January and preparations for those go on for almost a year. Sport, we have a gymnasium, swimming pool, badminton courts ( within all hostels as well as common ones), jogging grounds, table tennis and squash facilities, grounds for volley ball, football as well as cricket, those are all very well maintained. There are also yoga classes. Clubs are not really very very active even in pre covid scenario.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for hostel. The mess organization has done their best to provide us with a full meal. The breakfast is super, we also have a food court of a thing where we get to choose what dishes we want in our meals everytime we go for dining in the mess. The options vary from variety rices, to paneer dishes, non veg dishes, upma, fruit juice etc etc. In one word, mess is best.
Admission
No, there are just two entrance tests, conditioned on achieving atleast 75% in 12th board exams for science subjects. Preparation is as known for jee.
