Remarks
First of all, for pursuing B.tech from top institutes of Bangalore, you have to pass the COMED-K exam if you are non-Karnataka and KCET Exam if you are from Karnataka. Now my college is among the Top 5 colleges in Bangalore, So you must have to score very good marks in Comed-K to take an entry here. My rank was 6315 and I luckily got an ECE branch in DSCE, Bangalore.I was also getting good branches in other colleges too but i opt for DSCe because of its location and good placement opportunities because afterall it is all about getting placed in a good company right.So here i am. The admission process requires your COMED- K rank and your 12th class marks -above 60% overall and 75% in PCM .It consists of two rounds every year in the span of 20-30 days between each.And when you finally get a college you are all ready to explore .My advice will be to opt for any of the top 3 branches which are -CSE,ISE and ECE from any of the Top 10 colleges of Bangalore so that your money will not go in vain.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are 3 internals and 1 External (Sem end) exam in every semester. The papers are not so tough and if you have read them properly you will definitely get a good CGPA. Don't worry about exams instead focus more on industry-required skills and all.
Internships Opportunities
Internship mostly you have to search on your own but college will provide you with some opportunities also for an internship but don't rely on that only, College has internship providers like Internsala and others.
Placement Experience
Placements are average i will say because maybe the highest will be as high as 25-30 lakhs but most of the students got placed at an average salary of 6-8 lakhs which depends on your branch also.CSE and ISE students get placed at an average of 8-10 lakhs, ECE and EEE students got placed at an average of 6-8 lakhs but the rest of the branches is not so good in terms of placement. So yeah must opt for one among the Top 3 branches only if you want to get a good job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is high, Yes i agree with this fact for COMED - K people (approx 250000) per year. But For CET people it is low (Under 1 lakh) per year.But on the other hand, if you are in one of the Top 3 branches here your money will not go in vain.
Campus Life
The social life is actually good and nice. The campus is only of29 acres spit is a bit crowded but it is fine. There are many clubs and sports are also played.The library is very big and if you are one of those geeks who just love reading in the library you are gonna love that. Overall campus is good and campus life is also good.
