Remarks

My 1st preference was SBSC after the announcement of my CBSE result. I had availed the quota of OBC. there are several cutoffs for admission and I got admission in 3rd cutoff with the minimum criteria of 90%. The admission process was completely online due to covid. Even the verification of documents is also held in online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Bcom Hons because I want to gain knowledge in the field of commerce and I also fulfill the criteria of hons so I choose Hons at the place of the normal programme. There are 8 sections of Bcom Hons in our college and around 50 students are in every section The faculty is awesome, which means you will not feel that you are in college. It seems like your school teacher by the way of their teaching. Terms exams are held every 5-6months and it was not so difficult to pass in the exam in normal ways.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 7150 per year

Internships Opportunities

For internship you had join some societies according to your interest otherwise you can go for off-campus internships. Majors' steps are like group discussion and personal interviews. You had to face some hurdles in this process because the post is limited and applicants are so many. Since you can face competition here.

Placement Experience

Students from the final year got placements from the cell. And there are many famous and reputated companies that come for campus placement. My plans after Bcom Hons is to study for MBA and want the best placement in reputable companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of college I normal likely to be 7000 rs p.a. And if you are outstation student then should had to arrange your accommodation by your own. Scholarships are also provided by the collage and even laptops and other devices are provided to student for free of cost. The collage has a good department for your placement even SBSC's Placement cell is most popular cell in south campus of DU.

Campus Life

Due to this covid pandemic, events are not so held but DU is also known for its festivals. There I huge, well-equipped, computerized library and most famous library among South campus. Sports society is also well engaged.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
