Remarks

Development and Hostel fees is very high compared to other institutions in Bangalore. But infrastructure is good.

Entrance Preview

I had completed my 2nd year PUC and had written Common Entrance yes (KCET).I had secured a rank of 6931. During my option entry I had applied for Dayananda Sagar college of engineering as it had the best infrastructure, but the development fees was very high.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course ciriculum is good. But to get better placement offers we need to be out of box and do some courses and certifications which may be helpful in a long run.The labs and subjects are not interesting and will not help in research. It is very necessary to do some extra courses and some certifications

Internships Opportunities

Some companies like Slicepay had given us some internships .The stipend was nearly 5000 thousand rupees per month. They even give some projects for us to work on with.

Placement Experience

4

The placement is very good. Nearly 85-92 percent of people get placed every year. Most of the mass recruiting companies like Infosys,Cisco, tcs,Dell visit our college for placements.Even some startup companies also visit our college for hiring. Most of the MNC companies like Oracle, Dell, AT&T visit for placements and provide better placement offers.

College Events

4

We conduct both technical and cultural fests. We conduct two fests , one is in month of October and other in the month of April.we have a lot of events like madacts, dance, fashion show, minute to win it,Sports etc.All the students from different collleges attend our college fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive when compared to other colleges in Bangalore. We need to pay a devlopement of nearly 30000 rupees every year(varies every year)and is expensive. The hostel fees is also around 1lakh rupees per annum .The hostel is not affordable for the lower class and middle class people.Hostel fees increases by 5000 every year .The rooms are 4 sharing and difficult to compromise.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Government of Karnataka provides scholarship to SC,ST and backward class people.Different banks provide educational loans without surity with a limit of 4,00,000.There are also different scholarships provided by different trusts.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio was nearly same in our branch .But mechanical engineering students had more male students then female students. There where different events like paper presentation whete we need to present our paper in IEEE ,we even conduct marathon every year and give the amount collected by marathon to some cancer caring trusts etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities are good. They provide us newspapers to read in the morning. The food is quite good when compared to other colleges in Bangalore. We even had a tv hall when we would watch cricket matches. We had washing machine in our hostel too. There were security cameras in every floor.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors guide us about how placement happen and what are the areas we need to concentrate to aquire a placement in a good company.A lot of allumnis where coming back to our college as HR for placements.

Exam Structure

The exams and labs where conducted frequently once in a week.It wasn't anything like hectic and the programs were easy to execute. So it is necessary to pay attention during normal labs so that it doesn't be hectic during lab externals. The lab computers are new and are well maintained. The exam time table will have a lot of gaps for study and during these study holidays we need to make full utilzation of time.

Faculty

3

The faculty and professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They use both power point presentation and black board to present lectures. They even provide notes which are helpful during exams. They give some real life examples and tell us about the industry requirements.
