Remarks
The admission process was very straightforward. First, we had to go to the WBUT portal and register from that, and then we had to go to the college website and download those forms print it and sign them by the officials as stated then we had to go to centers to book our seats then once all that done we had to go to college and take our admission the whole process took around 2-3 hrs.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams were tough but not unpassable and there was some bias during the exams as this is an autonomous college and we were marked solely for our past performance. Some teachers were good others were okay. The CSE department teachers are not that cooperative.
Internships Opportunities
There were many companies like CTS, tcs that took campus placements also many startups that came into the college for placements, and for internships, it was mainly outside we had to apply. Also, companies like L and T came for non-IT/CS.
Placement Experience
Right now campus placements are very good for IT and CSE, ECE has few opportunities and civil mechanical are too few they mostly go for the GATE examination for further studies. The environment is not very competitive but in later years some of our juniors have secured huge packages.
Fees and Financial Aid
Placement wise our placement cell worked hard and I got a job in cognizant technology solutions through my college also I got an internship opportunity in my hometown financial assistance was given to a lot of students who presented a valid reason.
Campus Life
There were a lot of social clubs in our college like sports club music club dance club magazine club there was an NGO in our college Jyoti which taught underprivileged children in the evening I was a part of Jyoti and music club. Campus life was very good we had a ton of activities to do.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel at the beginning did not feel good but later there were a lot of improvements, bathrooms are not cleaned regularly that's a problem other than that food is average some days we had chicken. Fans are only there in the 4th year of college and single rooms are there also LAN facility is given to each room. Student interaction was very good.
