Remarks

First, there are so many myths about the colleges of North campus and south campus, some say the north campus is better but the fact is all are best, if you got admission in Delhi University it is itself a pride. To my personal experience of 3 years, College and teachers:- Pgdav college is good, teachers are cooperative, college library has huge no. Of books and study material except for some books of Geography stream just because college doesn't have any geography course. Playground:- It is about 100m—150m ground, having cricket pitch, hockey, football, Volleyball, etc. Canteen:- It has the biggest canteen in all DU colleges, provides food at cheap price, quality and clean foods. Politics:- It's overall good, however, the study gets interrupted for 2-3 days during college election although some teachers manage it by taking classes even during the election. Overall experience through 3 years:- if you ask about the overall experience I'll say between better and best. Overall rating out of 10:- 9.5/10

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Why this course: Everyone has their own aim, own path, own plan, I chose B.SC (H) Maths because of the same. I got 92 marks in maths in 12th, I have a great interest in Maths, I aim to be a professor, and DU is the best path to get the dream. Faculty: I think each college of DU has good faculty, the particular main college had great in science. Quality: I think every teachers of du is phd so never doubt on them, they are so much frank to each students, too much cooperative, teach students in the way students understand, no different in our school teachers and college professor, ma'am behaves like our mother. I think passing an exam is not a big task, I have seen students passing exam while studying 8-9 hr per day and see students passing exams while studying only one months before exam, it all depends on your capacity.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

As I have told and rated earlier the placement cell of the college is not too good, the college needs to work upon it. It's not too good but ya it provides opportunities for an internship I can say that if the placement cell is strengthened of this pgdav college of the University of Delhi then it is not less than any north campus college, as it has the best faculty, best canteen, best infrastructure, best computer labs, best playground etc. However, one best thing is there are many other colleges that doesn't even provide any placement but my college at least offer it I'm happy.

Placement Experience

3

I got an opportunity in the final years of my college but due to covid lockdowns, I was unable to work upon. College placement cell is well enough but not best it is a field college needs to work upon. When lockdowns ended my college provide me with an internship platform but that was not much interested to hire us.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of college are yes little high, in my course, it cost almost 15000 a year, with no general scholarship. But there are certain courses having low fees, Fee hike: I think the fees hike is not a big issue in my 3 years fees was around 15k, there was no big hike in fees, but in future, I can't say. Although there are many special scholarship programs which you can avail yourself of by giving interviews, it provides around 5-6k a semester which is a good amount. Along with it if you are a Kashmiri migrant you may get up to 60k scholarship per year which is huge for anyone, So I think fees can be the point of concern but not too much as you may get many scholarship opportunities.

Campus Life

5

The college is awesome as I discussed earlier, faculty is best as I discussed earlier, the playground is 5 out of 5. The canteen is 11 out of 10 if possible. So if I say these all are part of infrastructure and infrastructure is the best part of my college, Example:- During lockdown of years when and where all school college Institute was closed my college (PGDAV) has worked upon infrastructure and has changed every marvel of college, improved toilets of both male and female, improved playground to the best level, has formed a new park beside college, linked to metro station with women empowerment painted walls. Thus I can say it has the best infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
