College-The New Freedom

The admission process was quite easy. I took admission in 2018, and I had kept my documents ready, and on the day of admission, I submitted all my documents and they made me choose a generic subject. I choose Microeconomics as my generic subject, they asked me to arrange my documents in 3 sets with the first copy of my originals and then two further set of photocopy. I remember I took Admission on 5 July 2018. I belong to the general category. I was granted admission on basis of merit in 3 cutoff which was 93% at that time, I scored 94% in the best four subjects

I choose BSc Hons in Mathematics . The course is good and maths has changed from what we were doing in class 12, and there are more pure subjects like Real Analysis, Metric Spaces, Ring theory, Group Theory which primarily focuses on more on pure side of mathematics. The total number of students was 47. Most of the teachers are good but only one senior teacher is there, who do not teach good and she cannot convey her information to students, it resulted in the weakening of concepts of the student. There were only 2 teachers with PhD degrees and al rest were recruited on an ad hoc basis and they have created csir-net exam with a Masters degree. It was easy to pass exams and teachers usually give good marks in internals.

Great internship opportunities are available. The placement cell is best which gives a great opportunity to students. Decathlon, Byjus are among the top recruiters. Business Development, Sales, Research associate, analyst are positions which are offered.

Placement is ranked 6 in ranking. It is managed by students. The average package is above 5 lakh but you will get only commerce-oriented jobs. Generally, students want to pursue higher studies so they don't sit for placement.

Fees were about 18000 which include 3 thousand security fees and there are scholarships for students with low income. Campus placement was only for the commerce field. I was not interested in applying for the job.

The annual fest is celebrated in March every year. Our college has 34 societies which mean you can participate and enjoy your college life. I also joined the mathematics society Asankh. The library has access to most of the books. The placement cell is managed by students only.
