Remarks

I took the JEE advanced exam and through Josaa counselling I got mining engineering. I went to nearest IIT BHU for documents verification. We were given two days to report at college after final round of counselling. We went there and got hostel rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

Everything in our college has a fixed schedule and there were two types of exams , one midsem and one endsem. With daily 1 hour of self study or a week study before exams were sufficient to pass the exam.

Class Size: 92Course Fees: INR 215000 per year

Internships Opportunities

In third summer , we get to do internships . There are around 60 companies visiting for internship during July to September period .the stipend ranges from 20k to 200k per month . Some major companies are Google , Microsoft , Oracle , Amazon, Sprinklr, Codenation etc.

Placement Experience

From 7th sem onwards , students are eligible for placement. Around 150 companies visited our campus last year . Highest domestic package being from Microsoft 45 LPA. Around 90% of the students get placed and others move to research activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got internship at one of the biggest Company of software world with decent stipend this year . Can't disclose the exact amount it is around 80-90k. Internship procedure was well planned and everything was smooth.

Campus Life

Srijan is our annual Cultural fest spanning three days. We also have a techno-management fest Concetto annually in October.our central library is one of the biggest libraries of eastern india. We have all sorts of sports and extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are decent . Rooms are alloted on double sharing basis. We have mess on each floor where we are provided with breakfast, lunch , snacks and dinner daily. 3-4 days in a semester we have special dinner. Our rooms has two beds ,two chairs , table.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher.
