Remarks
I applied through the XAT entrance exam and had 3-4 shortlists. I qualified through the general category. The selection criteria are min 90 percentile in each section. The admission process is 3 steps, starting with GD and then followed by 2 PI.
Course Curriculum Overview
The college is well known for Sales and Marketing. It is the most popular program there. We used to have 6 sections of 85 students each. The faculty had diverse backgrounds (industry experience or academic experience). We used to 3 terms in a year. On average there used to be 6 courses in a term and the final exams used to be of 3 days with 2 exams per day.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are offered by almost all top brands. A person can also apply from outside. Projects include doing small market research or preparing presentations for management. There are also regular short term project opportunities available.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for summer internship placements once the first term gets over. 20% of the students on average receive PPO from internship organisations. For final placements, the planning starts as soon as the second year starts and prospective companies visit regularly.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee was comparable to other similar standard colleges. Plus a person could avail education loan easily if needed. Other than the fees, there were no major expenses as all study material was included in the fees.
Campus Life
The college was located in the centre of the city and thus there were many options right outside the college. There were regular student activities and competitions for students to stay engaged. The library had a rich collection of research papers and books.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel in 1st year was air conditioned but for the second year, we had to make do with only fans. The canteen was run by a student volunteer community and we used to regularly have special menus like pizza night.
Interview Experience
We had an essay round followed by a GD on current affairs. GD was an elimination round with only the top 50 percentile of each group going through to the PI round. there were 2 PI rounds with each being an elimination round.
