Course Curriculum Overview

4

Teachers are very helpful and coordinating. You can ask as many doubts as you can from them. But I don't take the guarantee that you will be able to catch up the topic in economics hons. By these teachers in one go. You need to sit, understand and ask 2-3 times for perfect clarity. All the students passed the semester examinations. Examinations was difficult but the highest was as high as 9.88 and the lowest was 5 out of 10.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The Training and Placement Cell was incorporated in January 2005, Over the years, the college has witnessed an impressive hike in the quality and quantity of internships being offered to the students. Many reputed companies such as EY, Ken Research, Outlook Group, Paytm provided us with internship opportunities. The diversity of profiles and companies is a result of a standardized Internship Wing.

More than 30 companies like Deloitte, Wipro and Accenture recruited students from GGS for various sectors like business development, analysis and audit. Overall, placements are very commendable.

Depending on the course INR 400 per month is awarded for the students for two/ three years. Students are awarded INR 150 per month for one year. However, based on the academic performance of the students it may be extended

Campus Life

4.5

The off-campus location is advantageous. Since the distractions are few, we can devote maximum time to study. enjoys being a part of SGGSCC, When I joined college, I thought it would all be about mass-bunks, fewer classes… it turned out to be quite the opposite with regular classes. However, we manage to have our share of fun by participating in activities of various college societies and going out with friends when free.”USP

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is located inside the college campus. With 42 rooms, it can accommodate the 126 undergraduate girl students of the College. Apart from the various facilities the hostel provides, every care is taken to ensure a comfortable and a happy stay for the resident students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
