Entrance Preview
I took KIITEE exam conducted every year for admission in KIIT in which i got AIR of 3201.I opted out for this college because this was closest to my home town .My other option was Ramayiya, bangaluru which was pretty far and wouldn't be able to get CS&E with COMEDK rank of 4001.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course structure is same as it is followed by most of NITs & IITs. It keeps changing accordingly. Some new thing which were introduced in my batch was big data ,cloud computing etc. As far as research point of view is considered , we B.Tech guys don't harness enough resource or knowledge in research field.
Internships Opportunities
Yes lot of companies come for internship like HP(r&d),Amazon. Hp with stipend of 25000 a month and amazon with 30000 a month. Several other small companies and startups from bangalore comes with minimum stipend of 5000 a month.
Placement Experience
Well lot of companies(80-100 companies) visit our campus both pooled and non pooled. Job opportunity is excellent. Companies varying from banglore startups to well settled companies. Almost 92-93% of CSE and IT guys got placed. However statistics of other branch is not good this year .Companies like delloite, hp, dell, microsoft ,book my show, SAP etc have come this year with Accenture, Infosys, Wipro ,IBM,Cognizant being the day 1 companies.
College Events
Kiitmun ,annual kendra vidyalaya sports meet ,national sports meet, spring fest ,summer fest, cyclothon ,marathon,blood donation camps,Kalinga preimer league are different events which are carried out in our college. Fest are pretty good with national or some time international artists coming on the final night.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My fee structure has got 110000 rupees per semester food and hostel cost additional. Hostel charge is 45000 per year whereas mess charge is 35000 per year. Semester fees remains same for 4 year. However mess and hostel charge may increase any time.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is provided to toppers of KIITEE exam as well as to branch and college toppers. Lot of private companies and bank provide loan on the spot during time of admission and counselling.
Exam Structure
I personally never felt hectic as we had two half days with one full day holiday(sunday).However with the new rule being implemented saturday and sunday are holiday ,pressure on student and teacher has increased. Exam structure is simple midsem is of 25 marks 15 marks for assignment ,quiz etc . Endsem is of 60 marks.
Admission
Notification was released 3 months before KIITEE exam. Form is free of cost always.After clearing the exam i students are called according to their rank in counselling where seats are alotted on first come first basis. Student may opt for upgradation to their favourite branch if not available at the time of counselling.
Faculty
Most of the faculty are good and efficient in their respective fields.Also most of them hold phd degree from IIT . All of them are s friendly making student friendly university. Structure is designed such that a teacher can be changed if most of the students don't get it right from the teacher. student to teacher ratio is 60:1.
