My college experience

I took SET (SLIET Entrance Test) to get admitted in the college. I opted for this college because of its academic excellence and repute. It is run by Government of India.

Course structure was up to date and nicely designed. Every year the board of course design committee used to meet to access the usefulness of the course structure. If any thing looked obsolete, it was changed. So, our college always had updated course curriculum.

Our college also provided internship. Stipend was as per the norms of Government of India. Overall experience used to be nice.

Placement and job opportunity provided by the college was great. We had very nice Training and Placement Cell headed by very energetic professor who had very nice connection with industry. Almost all students were placed with handsome salary. Quark Media House was the first company to step in the college and they were one of the mass recruiter. They were followed by many other companies.

TechFest and Madhuram were two most sought events celebrated in college. TechFest was technical event where as Madhuram was cultural event. We also used to celebrate hostel nights. Participants from various engineering colleges of India used to come to attend the TechFest.

College had scholarship for poor and handicap students. Our college promoted handicap students most.

We have very good alumni network with all pass outs. Seniors are very helpful.We have alumni meet at different cities of India and other countries. People meet and remain connected.

Examination was very technically structured. We used to have class quizzes, three Minor exams and one major exam with practicals per subject, per semester. Quizzes constituted twenty percent, minor thirty percent and major fifty percent in the grade.

Admission process is: Advertisement in leading news papers. Fill the form, write the entrance test, get selected, attend counselling and get a seat confirmed based on your rank in the exam, the seat available in that branch. Then pay the fee and get admitted. I also went through the same process.

Faculty members in our college were highly qualified and very knowledgeable. They liked to share their knowledge with the students. They used to mentor the students. Teachers were very interested and enthusiastic in teaching the course which made students also very interested in taking the course.
