I score 110 marks in JEE mains 2014 and then get admission in this college by the counselling process.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.tech is one of the most professional courses . I am proud of my decision that I have chosen the branch Mechanical. This is one of the most popular branches. The course curriculum is very good. This course teach us almost about everything. So I guess this is the best course if anyone want to do B Tech in his/her future.

Internships Opportunities

According to my knowledge, college do not have internship with more companies. Some companies came for the placements but the pay scale offered is not that good.

Placement Experience

Only 4 to 5 students get placed in every branch. The package is insufficient. The placement criteria in this college is not that good . Because the companies came here for placement offers less packages and pick only 4 to 5 students. Almost none of the students get desired package .

College Events

In every semester there are various festivals that are celebrated in college . Some of them are technical festival that is celebrated in the month of March and sports competition etc. Boxing championship is also organised in college in order to entertain the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship offered by this college according to my information . Even I get the 4th rank in the university examination of my 1st semester but I did not get any scholarship. There may be a lone facility for the students who can not afford that much money .

Campus Life

The gender ratio of college is 3:1 . Where 3 represent the male and 1 represent the female person in the college. There are various extra curricular activities organized in the college. Labs are good . Sports competition are done in every semester. And the winners are rewarded at the end of the event.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels of the college are not that good. But if we consider according to the hostel then these are acceptable. One room in the hostels shared by three person. Students can also live in PG. The average rent is about 4000 per month. It is affordable. The rooms of PG's are good and shared by two persons.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the senior students are so helpful . They provide us a good knowledge about the examination criteria. The senior are very cooperative in nature.

Exam Structure

Exam structure of this college is good . In each semester the exam are taken twice . In the examination halls the CCTV cameras are installed in order to maintain the decipline in the examination hall. The exam sheet are regularly checked and the report is sent to the parents. The labs are also good.

Admission

Because of general category my marks was not sufficient for a government engineering college JNGEC . Therefore I had chosen this college in the counselling done by Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur. I had filled a counselling form online but the counselling process is not online.

Faculty

College faculty is almost good. We do attend classes regularly and teachers are very cooperative in nature .Although they have not that much experience of teaching which is mandatory being a teacher in an engineering college but they are also not to bad. So the overall conclusion is that the faculty is good.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
