Remarks
The admission is based on the performance of JEE mains. If you have acquired a particular rank in JEE mains then you will get particular branch in that college. Each branch has its own cutoff. For CSE- 11961( for another state),9720(for West Bengal students) For IT- 15720(for another state),15331(for West Bengal students) This means any General students (50553 for other students) and (44193 for west Bengal students) can take admission in this college. Application is based on JEE mains performance and admission is done through JOSAA counseling. There are reservations based on category and gender.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good and keeps on updating as per the requirement of the industry. The faculty here are really helpful. Practical implementation is done through various Labs. Students teacher ratio is 1:9 means one teacher on every 9 students. Faculty are highly qualified, They have done Ph.D. in their respective fields. Final Exams is being conducted after 4 months of the start of the semester and mid-term is conducted after 2 months of the start of the semester. Exams are moderate and repetitive in nature.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like Texas Instruments (50000 per month), PWC(40000 per month), Wells Fargo, Deutsche bank, Microsoft (70000 per month) , Saint Gobain, Adobe, trilogy foundation, etc visited this year for internship purposes.
Placement Experience
From 7th SEM placement is being conducted by companies. Almost 85% of students get placed in different branches. Some core companies, consultancy, software companies with different job roles provide jobs with an average of 6.5 LPA. The highest package is offered by Atlassian (52lpa). The average is 6.5 LPA. My plan is to get placed In a good company.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are almost the same throughout the course. If your family income is less than 1 LPA then you will get a full fee waiver. For students having a family income (1lpa -5 LPA ) get a 2/3 waiver and the rest have to pay tuition fee, which is 62500 per semester. Other than tuition fees there are exam fees, hostel fees, mess fees. Which sums up to 100000 per Semester. GAABESU scholarship is provided to students based on family income and grades of the students. Which is around 10000 per semester.
Campus Life
The annual fest (Rebeca) is held in the month of April. Technical fest(Instruo) is held in the month of October. The various department conducts their technical fest as well. There are more than one lac books in the library. Classrooms are well equipped with proper ventilation. There are lots of sports fest conducted every month.There are lots of clubs of every kind of art and sport.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are good enough to accommodate students with proper conditions. Facilities like WiFi, Washing machine, Locker, study table, Folding is being provided to each student. The meal is good for veg and nonveg people.3 times a week non-veg is provided. The hostel is allowed by Hostel and mess department in the college.
