Remarks

The process was very simple just one should appear for wbjee exam and get good marks then he/she can opt for this college. overall studying here my experience is decent for the application you can go through their website of wbjee and for reservation yes, there is the reservation for the local lads . in improvement I want them to use more English rather than Bengali.

I am very passionate about software engineering so I did choose this subject. faculties are decent and student ratio is not good there are more boys than girls. teachers are well qualified but their method of teaching is something that I personally don't like. There were 2 exams every semester one is midterm MTA and the other ends term ESA difficulty is moderate to hard.

Internships Opportunities

Currently, I'm in 3rd year I didn't get any internship but will surely get one in the near future I'm trying hard to achieve my goals. I had done some minor projects like face recognition etc and small applications.

college placements are overall good every year there were 70% placement records lowest salary offered is around 3 LPA and average around 5-6LPA and highest 10LPA so placements are decent here my plans are still I am trying to figure out.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is very high a middle-class family can barely afford this. This college is also UGC registered but not from MAKAUT so I didn't get any financial help. Placements are decent enough here TCS WIPRO COGNIZANT comes here.

Campus Life

There are various fests in the college happening every year the one I am interested in is vivarta , it's all about tech. The library is also good with plenty of books there. there are also organized some sports events and it's quite good. in our college there DSC developer students club group is run by our fellow classmates which are powered by GOOGLE.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is also good there are many facilities available for a student they provide decent food, proper hygiene and sanitation too, the process of finding a hotel is also simple they are always around. There are various hostels in New Town and Salt Lake too.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
