Remarks

To take admission you need above 93% in class 12th. The application form will be on the Delhi University website and registration start after the 12th result is declared. OBC, SC, PWD, etc reservation benefits are there and nowadays admission is online. Their min 5 cutoff comes for cutoff.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose BCOM HONS because of this most demanding course in DU. Teachers of our college are very helpful and they are very frank with students. The majority of teachers have completed their PHDs in their respective fields and help students to publish various research articles as well. Exam held 2 times in a year, it is not so difficult or not so easy to pass the exam if you study properly you will pass in the exam.

Internships Opportunities

The placement cell provides details of many internships in that some are stipend and some are not stipend. Roles are campus ambassador business analyst, graphic designer, etc. For internship you have to fill the form then there will be an interview the company will decide to select you or not.

There are many companies that visit our college for recruiting students like HCL, Policy Bazaar, KPMG, and many more. In BCom Hons 50% of student gets placed or get an internship in different firms. the highest package is 6 lakhs and the lowest is 2.6 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee for my course is between 7000-8000 per year and the hike of the fee is 10%-20% as your year increase. Through placement cell you get internship opportunities. Placement in my college is average. The average salary is 4 lacs per annum. 50%- 70% of students get placed every year.

Campus Life

Kaafila is the annual fest of Motilal Nehru College. It is 2 days fiesta that attracts a large no of students from Delhi University and outside from Delhi University. There are many books on different subjects and of many authors which are present and issued by the library, There are many societies run by students like combrosia , cultural societies, political science society and many more.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

My journey at you from classrooms to cafe

I applied to several colleges under Delhi university, including Hindu College, kirori mal College and Motilal. I got confirmed admission in Motilal. I choose Motilal because of its good academic reputation, active student societies and comparatively better. The top of my course the faculty is supportive and the location of the college is convenient with a vibrant campus, life and opportunity to participate in various Extra curriculum activities. I couldn't make it to Hindu or kirori mal their cut off is very high. My score is a 430 out of 800. Which wasn't sufficient to a seat in top higher colleges, my school fell shot of the requirements and I later that I should Have more strategically to target these colleges. The admission processor, Delhi University recently chain and now it's completely CUET for undergraduate admission. For my course BA program. The CUETUG is accepted. Students have to apply through common seat allocation system portal of DU where the eligibility is privately based on class 12th marks and CUET score the cut-off very differently on the course and college and student need to prioritise their choice on the CS portal. overall admission experience was smooth but competitive. It require patient and careful planning of courses and college preference. Even though I can't make it to my dream College, I am happy with my choice at Motilal Nehru College of a balance Academy and social environment, and I look forward to make the most of time here....Read More
