Remarks
To be honest, nowadays TIT does not have any high eligibility criterion. They just want that student must pass 12 th class. A student can fill the form online from titbhiwani website or he can collect it from the college campus. I personally want that there should be some good criterion for admission process like more than 90% and they should consider jee rank also. So, that competition among students increase.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Tech (CE), because of the increasing number of jobs in the IT sector. Faculty: student ratio is good, which means there is no shortage of teachers. The faculty is well qualified but the teaching method of some teachers is not well. Exams are held at the end of each semester. And for internal, two sessional tests were taken in each semester. One can easily pass after studying old question papers.
Placement Experience
The placements are good. Students were eligible for Placements from 7th semester. There are many companies visited, for CS like infosys, byzus, VVDN, and other small companies. They offer around 3 to 5 lakh packages. But there are good opportunities for Textile students. Companies for textile offers good packages in the range of 5 lakh to 10 lakh.
Fees and Financial Aid
Current fees for B.tech is around 150000 per year, but when I took admission it was 115000. So, there is a hike of 35000 in fee in just 2 years. There is no scholarship by college except 3000 rs for student who get first position in any branch. College provides some financial assistance to one or two student. There is good chance of campus recruitment if you gain knowledge.
Campus Life
There are no tech fests that are conducted by the college but there are some societies that conduct some fests at regular intervals on the campus. The overall campus has poor infrastructure that is built some 70 years ago. Classrooms are average. There are no sports activities for the day-scholar but there are good sports facilities for hosteler students. There are many social groups run by students that organize cultural activities and quizzes.
