UPES-COLS is an upcoming private college.Faculties/Infras./Library/Study Environment is upto mark-3.5/5. However Placement Committee is a huge disappointment, they have failed to raise the Placements-recruitment quality.

UPES, Law program has its own entrance exam which is a cake walk. We also have a merit system for external selection. 50% and up is the usual passing criteria for ULSAT entrance exam, however their may be some changes in the current system.

Course structure is good. We used to have weekly class room presentation, assignment submissions, surprise test for internal valuation. A four pointer subject would consists of 48 lectures, where as a 3 pointer subject would constitute 36 lectures. Overall i would rate course structure- 3.5/5

UPES COLS performs very poorly when it come to Internships. I got internships in Laws Firms like Khaitan and Co./ ELP, Kochhar and Co., Advaya legal and others. All such internships were self-induced.

Majority of the students are placed in LPOs, Contract Review Firms, Tier-2 Law Firms and a handful corporate groups. I personally found low quality placements for batch 2011-16 this time. However, Legal profession has various opportunities. Off-Campus jobs are easily available if your CV is well polished.

We have a mega social-cultural event called Uurja which takes place in the month of October. This event consists of various fun activities, contest, Dramas, Comedy Skit, DJ-Night, Mr and Mrs Uurja and others. Other than Uurja we have Intra-Inter Moot-Courts, Trail advocacy, IPR day and others. Big colleges like NLUs, NITs, BITS, O.P Jindal and other colleges are active participants in these events.

Five patches have been passed from our college till date. We do have alumni group in WatsApp and FB. The placement committee do depends on Alumni for Prospective placements. I personally had some good experience with my seniors, which helped me in placing my future.

BBA-LLB is a 5 year program. It has total 10 semesters, 2 semesters per year. Regarding exams- its divided into Mid-Sem/End-Sem. Mid-Sems and End Sems carries 20% and 50% marks respectively. 30% is solely based on internal evaluation. Most importantly Students have to maintain 67%-75% in attendance so as to appear in End-Sems.

I gave entrance exam back in year 2011, got a mail for clearance. Gave an entrance interview and got selected. However the process changes with time. We also have a merit based selection process in which 12th Board Marks are taken into consideration.

Faculty is good, Majority of our faculties are dedicated towards their responsibilities . Like every other college, UPES too has some rotten apples who are good for nothing. However, the young faculties are highly qualified to lead the students. All Law-faculties in UPES has Ph. D. or Post-Graduation degree of LLM.
