Student Life at JIMS Kalkaji

The Admission process was very simple. One has to give CET entrance exam for admission to IPU University for BBA. The Application can be found on the ipu website which ggsipu.com. The IPU University has a 70% reservation policy for Delhi Students.

I chose BBA because I had a keen interest in business management from my schooling days and I always wanted to pursue my career in that field only. Faculty of the college are Highly Skilled and all the teachers have the proper knowledge of the course specialization they are carrying. Moreover, the faculty is very supportive and they help you in each and every hurdle which comes across your path. The student ratio is also well balanced. The exams were held twice a year in September and July respectively and the difficulty was moderate. One can clear the examination easily with dedication and consistent hard work.

My first internship was as an SEO executive in AMVI Consultancy in which I was supposed to perform the Blend of on-page and off-page SEO activities to increase the ranking of the company's website on the google search engine page. My second internship was in my College itself which was Social media marketing in which I was supposed to handle the FB page of my college and was supposed to design creatives for the page using CANVA and Adobe Spark. Both my internships were unpaid

The placement begins with the second last semester of the program which is the 5th semester. Different types of companies come for placements like Amazon, Cvent, IHS Markit and etc. The Highest package from the BBA program was 5lakh PA and the average was 3-4lpa. Almost 90% of the students were placed in the companies rest percentage consists of the students who have not appeared for placements and some were not placed on campus. My plan after graduation is to get experience in a growing company where I can learn and apply all the knowledge I got through my graduation which helps to boost my career and increase the growth of the company too.

initially, the fees were around 80000 for 1st year but after 1st year the fees were hiked to 100000 a year. The total program cost was around 300000 for 3 years excluding miscellaneous expenses. Financial Assistance was there for EWS category students to help them with their finances.I got two internships through my College in Digital marketing which was also part of my Summer Internship Project

The IPU has its own fest ANOOGOONJ which is held every year in Feb where all the Colleges affiliated with IPU come and participate in different types of Competitions. The Book Bank facility is also there for students which are for 5000 rs for 3 years and is also refundable. The Classrooms are well equipped with AC and Smart Classes for the efficient learning of students. Different kinds of Sports, Music etc. Societies are also there for extracurricular activities. Though there is no such big ground in JIMS Kalkaji for sports activities. They book some other ground for these kinds of activities.
