Best College for Physics

This college is under the University of Delhi, so, it requires a good percentage in 12th boards to be eligible(For general:93-95 percent). The application form is released on the university website. I opted for Sikh Minority reservation, after which the cutoff for the best 4 subjects dropped to 70 percent. To avail it, one needs a Sikh minority certificate which is issued by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Committee.

I chose BSc Hons Physics course because of my interest in Physics. All the professors are very passionate. I can say that the physics faculty in my college is one of the top in Delhi University, and some also have a good reputation all over India. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:15 . Most of the professors have studied from the top universities of india and are PhD from there. Some of them also have about 30-40 years of experience. Their teaching methods are awesome. The professors always focus on teaching in a way so that students get encouraged and prepared for doing research in physics. Term exams are held by the university at the time of December in odd semester and in May-June in even semester. It is not very difficult to pass the exams if you prepare well.

So many internship opportunities are provided by the placement cell of the college. Professors also help students get in touch with various internships provided by the reputed institutes of India which are related to the field of study of the students.

There are many placement opportunities available in college which are provided by the placement cell. In fact, most of the students studying sciences opt for higher education in their fields. My plan is also to go for higher studies in Physics.

Fee per year of my course is Rs.27990 excluding the hostel fee and examination fee. All other things are included in it. Some scholarship opportunities are also available as provided Indian Government. You can fill the form for that in college in your even semester. There are no campus jobs as of now in college.

There is a very big annual fest organized in college in February month called LASHKARA which goes on for 3 days. There are so many fun activities organized by different departments and societies. Amazing artworks and photographs are showcased by the art and photography society of my college at the time of the fest. The library of my college is the 2nd biggest in Delhi University having about 1.7 lakh books. So many books and research papers are available there. The Physics research papers released before the year 2000 are there but the latest ones are not available. The classrooms are very good having air conditioners and projectors in there. My college is known for sports. It has produced so many Olympians and famous sportspeople. So many societies are also available for extracurricular activities. There are so many groups like pinhole, Anhad, Sparks, etc. which are run by students, and some of them also have their own websites.
