Admissions for this institute carry out under JAC. You'll get admission on the basis of JEE mains rank, generally, anyone above 60k rank gets admitted easily by the third counseling. this is one of the most economical institutes in Chandigarh for engineering. The hostel fee is very minimal around 6k per semester.

The curriculum is not very much related to chemistry if you think chemical engineering is analogous to chemistry, not at all. This was the misconception that I had when I got admitted. The faculty is good, infrastructure is a little outdated.

It is mandatory for every student to you have a 6 week internship experience to get placed in a company. Department provides internship opportunities after completion of 6th semesters. PR cell of the department is responsible for calling companies for recruiting students. One can do internship through department or off-campus as per convenience.

This department is one of the first departments established in the university so the alumni base of UICET is very strong. Many companies visit to department some of them are ExxonMobil, Infosys, Honeywell, cairn, Bechtel. Companies like reliance and L'oreal have also recruited students from uicet.

This course is very affordable at the University Institute of Chemical engineering Panjab University. You will be around 18000 year excluding the examination fee which is 2500 approximately per semester which is very low comparing to other institutes offering engineering programs.

This department is situated exactly at the center of Panjab University nearest to see which is the most go-to place of University students. Many fests are organized in the department as well as in the university too. The major fest of our department is cyanide.

Hostels in the university are very affordable hostel charges are around 6000 rupees per semester excluding the mess charges. Hostels are provided on the basis of merit but if you do not get the house there are many pgs available around the university at affordable rates with food or without food depending on the choice of student.
