Remarks
Quite simple procedure for admission as I had talked a day previous to councilor of SISTec, then next day I had my all documents ready with 3000 of admission fee. For the next couple of days, I notice everything was as expected, but after 2 months of 1st sem, college forced students to pay the entire amount just within a week and not in installment (which violates the policy as discussed by councilor), but anyway. Reservation for OBC/SC/ST are there as : For OBC: 28000/- per year For SC: 60000+/- per year and similar for ST. No improvement is possible in this scenario because of one-sided communication by the college department.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is just an edge level similar to the GATE and ISRO syllabus because all the syllabus and course curriculum is organized by RGPV (Rajiv Gandhi Technical University). And similar courses are for all the institutes which are affiliated with RGPV. Most Faculties are research scholars so no doubt about their teaching quality. There is a 1:70 ratio of faculty to students. In this 4 year of engineering journey, we have to go through 8 semesters each having a final exam and two mid-semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
In terms of providing Internship opportunities, college does not provide so many chances but for pre-final year students, it is over there. But most of them are unpaid and not so much useful (It is recommended to have a good skill and projects.) Replacement of project with 100 days of the unpaid full-time internship is just a big loss in the engineering journey. Instead of these just prepare yourself with any trending technology(like: node.js, blockchain), if possible get a premium of pepcoding/codingninjas and spend so much of your time in competitive coding.
Placement Experience
SISTec has good placement records in the last few years, every year 20-30 service provider companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, cognizant. These hires in bulk for profiles like system engineer/assistant system engineer. out of 200 students from 'CSE' 180 gets placed easily but only 2-3 students get 10 LPA + package and 2-4 students get 6-7LPA package while remaining gets 3.5 to 4 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee (total excluding hostel fee) for a year is about 75000-80000, yes it varies from councilor to councilor. but it is recommended to get admission directly through a faculty. If you have a good scorecard of JEE above 75+ percentile, then you will get 50% off by TFW scheme, but for this scheme, you have to complete all the procedures at the initial phase of admission. The scholarship feature is only for MP students, and not for other states. (Just remember councilor will not reveal it before admission.)
Campus Life
College does its best for fest and tech fest but due to tough environment and miscommunication among the faculty members, it is not possible for now and for few next years. The library is vast and so peaceful environment there, but with old books for first years makes it non-comfortable for 1st-year students. Sports, Jims and swimming pool are just a show-piece to attract students for admission but after admission everything becomes clear. Although 2-3 games are allowed for hostelers only.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is just ok but the environment is not as expected level because war-like situations has raised so many times between juniors and seniors. mess is neat and clean but there is nothing like "menu" anyway just fine. After the admission process or with it parallelly just an extra hostel allotment form is provided. But if you leave the hostel after just 1-week hostel authority will force you for paying complete fees. So, In my opinion, it is better to take a room in a locality by rent.
Other Applied Colleges
Vaishnavi Institute of Technology and Science | B. Tech
Just a good but less placement opportunity, if you are a average student and want just a degree.
Bhopal Institute of Technology and Science | B. Tech
Quality of placements are not as expected level.
