Remarks

For admission, you have to give JEE Mains exam and then, just go for JOSAA counselling if your rank is good enough, then you will have to report to the college with all the documents and admission + first semester fees. For home state students, they can go for counselling done by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I choose this course because I had a keen interest in computer technology. The faculty: student ratio is good but faculty lacks communication skills and they are somewhat biased with home state students. Some faculty teaches like they are teaching school and in my opinion that's bad. In every semester, you have to go for 2 Quizzes one of 7 marks and another of 8 marks and then you have to give mid sem which is of 30 marks and end sem of 50 marks and 5 marks you will get from teacher assessment which is done on the basis of submission of assignments and presentations.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

On-Campus Internship opportunities are very low with Dell being only the recruiter. But most students on the basis of their talent get off campus internships. In the last semester, either you have to do an internship or you can make a project.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement scene is not very good and not bad also. The companies start coming from the 7th semester. Almost 97% percent of students are placed but the average on-campus package is 4LPA only which is bad. The highest Package is offered by Microsoft (43 LPA) and Amazon (30 LPA) on pooled-campus. You will get more and accurate information about the placement website of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of the study is as per the general Government Funded Institute. There are scholarships for meritorious students and students who are not privileged. You can get full info on fee structure and scholarships on JOSAA official website. The placement is not very excellent but not that bad also. Everyone gets the placement except the backlog students. The average On-Campus Package is around 4LPA. You can get more info regarding the placements on the placements website of the college.

Campus Life

3.5

Life at the campus is very good. There are many different societies which you can join and participate in their activities. There are small and big events happening all around the year. Advaita is the techno-cult fest of the college and is full of many big events with heavy prizes. There are also many small fests like Krida (Sports fest), Ingenium (Literature fest), Nebulae (Fresher's Party). Classrooms and labs are decent. There is a central library(small compared to a regular college library) and there is also the support of an e-library. There is also an auditorium which is 100 seater(which is also small compared to other colleges) and equipped with facilities. The central auditorium is under construction. There is a basketball ground. tennis ground and one cricket/football ground.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel is normal but the toilet condition is bad for three-seater and two-seater hostels. The wifi is very slow. The hostel is registered with admission and you can only get a three-seater hostel in the first year. There is a laundry and geyser facility. Hostel mess food is bad like any other college. But the good thing is that you have to pay for what you eat. You have to get coupons for every week and you can select what day you want to eat. There is a choice of veg and non-veg. There are two messes but the sad part is that none is 24/7. The best thing is that tea of the mess is very good. But there are canteens and food trucks.

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
