Remarks

The most important is to fill the Delhi University admission form, which is available on the DU portals after the board exams. After you fill it you will get an ID and password. 1. The eligibility of the course is 12th class. 2. After that the colleges publish their respective cutoffs on the DU official portal. 3. The students have to check if their marks come under the cutoff provided by the DU. 4. If you get a percentage more than or the same percentage of the cutoff, you are eligible to apply to the college. If you have not got that percentage, hold on, DU releases more cutoffs. 5. Go to the admission portal of the DU website. Login through the ID and password you get while on the DU admission form. 6. Apply in the college and course which you passed the cutoff. Remember if you will apply to other colleges which the cutoff do not allow you, your application will be rejected. 7. After some time, you will get information about whether the college has taken you or not. If not chosen, choose other.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose Bcom Hons because I wanted to specialize in Accountancy. And trust me, We have got the best accountancy teachers right from the beginning. We can call him/her anytime, message them anytime and they are always curious to solve our doubts. The faculties here are highly qualified. The exam is however tough, and that's why It's DU. But at the same time, if a student studies daily he/she will score nicely.

Internships Opportunities

5

Each week you will get at least one internship opportunity right from the day when you will join the WhatsApp group of internships. They will provide you with a stipend or non-stipend job. But the experience you will get will not be less than a job!

Placement Experience

5

The students got eligible for the placements in the 3rd year. However, as I told earlier as well that we can go for internships always from the 1st year as well. The internships which come through the placement cells really give us the necessary and all the real atmosphere of work. At the same time, we learn a lot from the internships along with some stipends.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of every DU college is very low because it got assistance from the government of India. If you take PG/ Hostel then it cost according to the rooms you take. It ranges from 10000 per month to 20000 per month. However, you might get various scholarships to offer while studying like fees off or residence scholarship but for that, you have to give a test but you can give it only if you are a part of the institution. I have taken two internships till now, I am still in my second year even then. We got many internships offers ranging from 5000 to 50000. Anyone can give the interviews if they pass it they got selected! It does not require any extra charge you just have to inform the student from the placement cell and you will get the internship opportunity!

Campus Life

5

We have not been to college till now due to Corona and pollution. But we have all the activities online. We can form the social groups of the college and also many students have been recruited in various societies like commerce, science, art, etc. In these societies, a student develops a lot! We have competitions and events online. Yeah, it's true that the students have not met till now but We can contact anyone and everyone helps each other a lot. The library is however open. Also, with the help of the teachers, we can get the books with maximum discount with the publishers! The classes happen on google meet or Microsoft teams. Assignments and all the notes of the classroom are submitted there only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
