Life at Coochbehar Government Engineering College

To be eligible one should have passed 12th with science stream and have been appeared in WBJEE Examination. The application form is released online at the WBJEE portal, Its fee is 600 & the Application date differs every year. Usually, the application process is completed in the month of January. The admission process is quite easy.

I chose the course for my true interest in computer science. The faculty student ratio is 1:6 All faculties are PhD holders. Internal exams are held four times in a semester. Exams papers are moderate type, if one studies the topis genuinely it will not be much tough to pass the exam.

Companies like IBM, Indian Railway, ICICI, Infosys, HCL, IndusInd Bank, TCS, Wipro, compass, Myntra etc. are the most popular recruiters in this college. Projects are mostly based on Tech & Management.

From the third semester, students become eligible for campus placement in this college. Desi are approximately 35 companies visited this college & approximately 350 offers were made to the students of this college. Last year the highest salary package was 10 lakh per annum and the average salary package was 4 lakh per annum. Last year almost 55% students God Placement in different companies from this college. This number is quite less because most of the people choose for higher studies after pursuing their graduation. I want to go for higher studies after completing my graduation from this college.

For computer science engineering and electronics and communication engineering students the fee is 1000 per month. For mechanical engineering civil engineering and electrical engineering students the face structure is is 500 per month. As this is a state government under college this provides all government scholarship like Swami Vivekananda scholarship, Oasis scholarship etc. It also has a tuition fee waiver for economically weaker students. This year highest salary package offered to the student of this college was 10 lakh per annum and its average salary package offered is 5 lakh per annum.

The name of the annual Techfest of this college is Tech-o-nics. Except that it organises fest in the month of Autumn. All kinds of sports especially cricket, football, basketball, tennis are the most popular sports in this college. There are many clubs in this college. Like song club, drama club, music club, programming club, debate club, paper talks club, Techfest club, football club, cricket club, poem recite club, Rangoli club, gaming club etc.
