Remarks
You have to clear out 12th class. Then you have to give JEE mains and get a decent rank to be accepted. The application form can be found on the JoSAA website. One can apply from there. There are about 7 rounds total. College comes under the GFTI category. There is 50% reservation for the students from Odisha.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I had an interest in B Tech and wanted to pursue it. The class size Is about 60 students in a class and one faculty teaches in a single lecture. Some faculties are good, but some are under qualified. Term exams were moderately difficult but they were very timely. About 2 midsems and 2 ebdsems in one year.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are offered to start 6 semesters. However, college doesn't provide that much help to students in internships. I have not yet done any internship. The college regularly informs about the internships but there all are off-campus.
Placement Experience
For campus placements, students are eligible from the 7 semesters. A lot of companies visited this year and they also made a lot of offers. Many students were placed and the highest package was around 25 LPA. I have not yet decided.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are hiked about 5-10% every year. The cost to study is a bit higher for a Government College but when compared to a private college, the cost is borderly acceptable. I applied for no such scholarship. The fees is excluding the mess expenses.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Advaita. But there are many fests organised by the students. The tech fest is a part of Advaita itself. There are a lot of other small fests throughout the year. Classrooms are average, they are equipped with projectors however very few teachers use them. There are a lot of clubs in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The college provides hostel accomodation to the students. Hostels are compulsory for the first years but afterwards they can choose. They can also choose between single, double and triple accomodations. Meal quality is below average. Food is bad in taste and the hygienic wise too not upto the mark.
