Previously it was only one attempt but now we have two attempts for the exam, so if you didn't secure well in first you still have a second chance to enhance. The best score will be counted for the addmission process. Now once you cleared the exam with a good rank here good rank means that if you belong to the general category then below 80000 and if you avail any reservation then one lac. Moreover, you will get a gender quota too if you are a female. Even your score has only crossed cut off you can still avail to your state NIT or IIT. Once you are availed now it's time for addmission. You must take care of your original documents like their dates and spellings that are very much important. You must fill in your preferences in the right order. You can wait for more than 2 rounds of counseling to get a better branch. Once the branch is allotted you have to submit your documents. You have to carry a xerox of every document along with the original. Your income certificate should be initiated as according to the financial year.

Instrumentation and control engineering room around circuits. If you truly want to play with high-tech machines and robots it is the best choice. Instrumentation is a kinda rare branch. You will learn about here. Best if you do practicals carefully. In NIT Jalandhar faculty is good i mean some members are awesome and some are okok. You have to deal with a situation somewhere. Lab teachers are basically Mtech students. They are very great and helpful. Overall it'll be a good experience to you if you come here.

Interships are very major part of any placement. NIT Jalandhar provides an intership vacation to every student. The whole semester you can take leave and do an internship in any company either offline or online.

Placements are 8/10 for every branch. It's upto you how you study. CGPA should be above 7 . Coding should be great. You should know coding anD machine learning. Companies are nice and decent also their packages too.

Personally, I don't have any scholarships. But I can let you know about the income certificates system. Like if you are from the general or obc category and your father's annual income is above 5 lacs. You have to pay nearly 65k for tution. If your annual income is below 5 lac it'll be 20k. Below 1lac it's free. And even you are an sc or st student doesn't matter how rich you are it free. Hostel and mess charges are the same for all. They dont differentiate. Also, there is a different fee structure for international students.

Awesome campus life is best here. So many types of clubs that you can join and can get exposure. Club for everything like dancing singing cricket football acting robotics badminton table tennis bhangra social work much more. Food is awesome in mess don't worry about that. The canteen is also. They are small in size but rich in taste. Nuksaan is that sometimes you dont get space to dry your clothes and also sometimes the gym is full.

Clerks of the hostel will avail your rooms. You can go check rooms yourself and they will allot you. 35000 will be taken as security money than 25k will be taken as the room. charges and 25k again will be taken as mess charges. Mess for 1st year is best. The menu includes a dish from every state even nonveg. The rooms are great. Small but ok.
