Good quality education for those who want to achieve their dreams

After cracking Jee Mains 2020, I have secured 14666 AIR and in OBC category 3099 rank. I have applied for various colleges in the order of branches [cse,ece,eee]. After completion of 6 rounds of Josaa, I was alloted electrical engineering in National Institute of Technology , Rourkela. I got a mail from the college authorities to fill the application form in order to get the roll number for the respective branch. Then our classes started from dec 3rd. I did not participated in the CSAB rounds. I have secured the seat in the OBC category and got electrical engineering. In our campus for electrical engineering, 37 seats were reserved for the electrical engineering branch. We have our midsemester and endsemester exams after completion of course syllabus. Due to the out break of covid-19 and imposing if lockdown restrictions, we have our online classes and the exams even in offline mode. The admission process was perfect but guidelines to be given to the sudents in the mean time.

I am intrested in circuital branches and computer architecture, Since I was not alloted with ece branch I choose electrical engineering. According to the official media body of NITR, the faculty and student ratio is 10%(1 faculty for every 19 students). The faculty are highly qualified and are mostly in research fields. They give more facilities and help to the students in the placement purpose. Exams were taken frequently. Weekly class tests and monthly midsemester and after them end-semester exams.

Mostly the students start getting internships from the summer and winter holidays of their 3rd year. this time , Qualcomm, tata steel, BHEL, nvidia, intel, netcracker technologies, microsoft, cipla, byjuus, and other companies offered on-campus internships.

Nit Rourkela stands in the top 4 NITS for placement ranking. The placements were provided on campus and internship oppurtunities were also provided by the college in prefinal years. The highest package ever known is 42LPA by microsoft for SDE role. and the average for our branch is 6.2LPA. generally in our branch 60% is the placement percentage for the present graduating year. and some others choose the higher studies. I will choose higher studies after writing the gate exam.

The tution fee for everyone is 62500. Of which the students with category can exempt from paying the tution fee. the hostel fee and the other expenses including the tution fee is 122500. From the next semester, this can be reduced to 99000 which continues to be paid till 8 th semester. For the financial aids, one can consider the government merit cum means scholarship.

Since the outbreak of Covid-19, and the restricted lockdown the college adopted an online teaching method to teach classes to the students. All the reference books were sent to the students by the Microsoft teams. so Our batch was not aware of all the classroom experience and fest and all.

I did not physically went to the institute, but from my seniors i got to know about some things. There is a website called NITRIS in which the students can fill their choices for hostels and they are alloted online. There were many vareities in the menu of the mess every day and place is also hygenic.
