Review of my college!

The eligibility criteria for the course is that the students have to clear the cut off of the management exam and go through the process of selection by the college which involves GD, PI, and WAT. Application is available both online and offline and application dates are informed well in advance. Reservation details are also mentioned on the website of the college.

I choose this course because it becomes quite relevant while you aim to work in the industry as pragmatic thinking and analysis are focused in this course. The faculty-students ratio is most appropriate in our college. Our faculties hold PHD in the domain area and have also the great working experience in the industry so they have a rich knowledge base with them. Faculties focus on the active participation of students in classroom discussions. The exams take place on time as scheduled in the annual calendar.

We get great internship opportunities from the college and these internships are stipend based also. We also get PPO from these internships. These internships help the students to have a basic knowledge of how the industry works so it is beneficial for us. We also get to work for live projects in these internships. Just to let you know I have completed my summer internship from River Engineering Pvt. Ltd.

The companies start coming from 4th trimester onwards. Top companies like Dabur, Byju's, ICICI, etc come every year for the campus placement. The highest package announced every year is 20L and the average is 8L. The most distinguish point to note is that IMS has the record of 100% placement as every student gets placed through the campus placement. I myself got placed in learning routes pvt ltd. as sales associate.

The fees for the PGDM course is 8 lakh for 2 years which is very nominal as compared to other B-School. You also get a scholarship opportunity if you clear the required criteria of getting a scholarship. You can also avail loan facility from college.

The annual fest 'Melange' and inter department competition 'Samagam' are quite engaging and enriching experiences for the students. We have a huge library which has a lot of books for each subject. We have air conditioned classrooms that have projectors and screens for virtual learning. Our college has different committees for different domain areas as works extensively in the college.

For getting through the selection criteria you have to go through 3 rounds which are GD, PI, and WAT. The topics of GD were the impact of covid on the global economy, Make in India, etc. I started preparing myself for these rounds by going through newspapers and articles like HBR, Economics Times, etc.
