My college - HONEST REVIEW

The selection process starts with filling center form from the DHE site of Chandigarh. This form is valid for all the government aid colleges in Chandigarh and then a list is placed, which totally based on your marks, reservation. If your name is in your list then you have to decide, which college you opt for graduation based on your preference and still don't worry if your name is not there till the last merit list, then you go for college form individually, if the seats stand vacant in the college.

I chose bachelor of science because it has a wide future and also the faculty of this college of science is also tremendous and we are nearly only 30 students in our department. The teachers are very well qualified and teaching based on the equally practical and theoretical. The colleges conduct 6 semesters which mainly includes 6 MIDTERM exams and 6 final exams.

Unfortunately, the internships are only for a few departments. Bachelor of vocation students gets internships from the college. Apart from this, science students get internships only during summer vacation.

Placement is there in the college, but it varies from department to department. Like commerce, departments are easily got placed with good packages in their dream company. But, for the science department is difficult to get placed because the science companies visited the college are few. The students with more than 80% generally get the placement. But few companies get hired students of their exams, GD rounds, and HR rounds irrespective of the college score.

My fees of b.sc are 25k for the year which includes your tuition fees, lab fees, and all the allowance. Yes, the college provides scholarships for students who are disabled, financially poor, and on a merit basis. And also, the college provides jobs within the campus while you studying.

One of the best things about this college is the environment of the college. A very healthy environment for girls too. Annual fest conducted every year by their departments. Like science dept conducts "BIORHYTHM". Labs are well furnished and classrooms are too.

Hostel registration starts with the form filling. Shortlisted candidates are required to fill the fees in one go which is nearly 86k for the year. Tough seats are limited in the hostel, it's very tough to get a seat in the hostel. Coming to the facilities part, the room is well furnished with a single box bed, a chair, and a personal table for each student. Coming to mess. The mess is very good, having AC and heaters. The food is also good. Apart from this, the hostel is loaded with gym facilities, a reading room, tv room, hall, they all are having AC and heaters.
