Remarks

The admission process is easy most of the works is done by them. Even the anti-ragging certificate work is done on the College Campus. When you will first enter there you will feel a little bit easy as compared to other colleges because the administration is quite friendly. You will find some awesome professors who will treat you like their own kid.

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for this college because of the faculty. Friendly faculty members as well as seniors, In just a duration of one month we all become tint family. Awesome teachers who are 24*7 available for you. Even if it's midnight you call ring their phone and ask about the problems. There are so many awesome groups that help with personality development. Some Foreign languages courses are offered by foreign teachers. Most importantly you will have the recording of the classes if you somehow miss the class. That's the best thing I like about it. You will get all books from the library and dresses from the office.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships available for West Bengal Students offered by their Government (you can't apply on them if you have completed your 12th from other states) and the others offered by your state. The scholarship offered by the west Bengal government are:- 1. Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Minorities, West Bengal 2.Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal 3. West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC 4. West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC ST Students 5. Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal If you are from different states then this information is a waste for you.

Campus Life

There are many groups of the college most popular one is the Films Club, Coding Club, Dance and singing club, art club and many more. There are many websites and web pages run by students and they are quite popular.

Hostel Facilities

I can't say much about the hostel much but it doesn't have a campus hostel and the place it is situated is not great as you think. It's about 3km or more from college. It food is good as I have heard, the most common one is chicken chili and fried rice. But to be honest, Pgs are better because the off-campus Pg college has nothing to do with it. You have so many restrictions for nothing. If you ask me I will say Pg is better.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
