Remarks

Only those students can participate in counselling who gave jee main exam. According to the basis of percentile or rank, you have choices to choose your college and stream. Every year jee conduct two exams which are jee main and jee advance. Those who qualified in jee main can appear in jee advanced. If you didn't qualify to jee main in one attempt ( one year because we can give two attempts in one year in the duration of 2-3 months and your best performance will consider only) then you have one more chance for jee main. There are reservation categories also ( but there are no reservations for EWS in NIT Manipur) for OBC/ST/SC Fees are also categorised according to your parent's income. (eg. If your parent's income is lying under 1 lakh and even you are general then your tuition fee per semester is 500 only :) )

Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my particular branch, we have 4 girls and 20 boys where 14 are local students (Manipuri) rest are from other states. Faculty is really good if the student is punctual in their work. Exams/unit-tests/viva/quizzes are always taken with proper marks distribution. The level of exams is moderate as compared to iits.

Internships Opportunities

4

You can take an internship with a stipend from outside in the 1st or 2nd year. But through college, they can provide only after 3rd year. Professors always give us projects regarding topics they have taught in class.

Placement Experience

4.5

A various good number of companies always coming in our college. Last year two students got 43 lakh package from Microsoft (you can search from Google) The average package is 10 lakh. This placement is really improved now in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is depending on caste and family income categories. If someones are ST/SC then his /her total fee is waived off. For general and OBC, it depends on family income. If someone's family income is below 1 lakh then they have to give only a 500 tuition fee per semester. For between 1 to 5 lakh, they have to give 1/3 of total tuition fees i.e 20k-30k per semester (depending on particular semester it may vary). For the above category, they have to pay for all. There are a lot of scholarship options also that you can apply to through college.

Campus Life

4

Ogri is the best annual fest that is happening in my college. My college campus is not so big so that's why many friends got cancelled but there are some sports activities some extracurricular activities there are some clubs which is Kalam club, dance club, magneto phone club. The library contains a huge number of books.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average and mostly theory-based. Core CS subjects are covered, but practical learning, updated content, and flexible electives are limited, so we students must rely on self-study. And the exams are also monthly so you have to work on your own to study.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The good side is the academics: CSE covers programming, operating systems, algorithms, AI, NLP, databases and related math, with regular curriculum updates in consultation with industry. ECE (including VLSI & Embedded Systems) includes communication systems, control, image processing, CMOS design, IoT, ML and AI, with strong emphasis on labs and projects. Recent placement data shows an overall placement rate around 80–85%, with CSE doing better than ECE, and a highest package near 40 LPA and average around 8–9 LPA for 2024, which is solid for a young IIIT. The transit campus at Mantripukhri still has essentials like Wi?Fi campus, library, labs, auditorium, hostels, faculty housing and playgrounds.
