Remarks
I filled the application form first which was easily available on the website and the fees for that application were somewhat between 1-2k. After that, I had a personal interview with one of the faculty of the college and I cleared it and got selected. The admission process was quite simple and almost everyone who gave the interview got selected.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty members are very well educated and the majority of them have done their bachelor's from India and masters from well-knowned colleges in abroad such as LSE. The faculty members are the editors of the time group, at a high position in voot, NDTV, etc. The faculty is very cooperative and is available to you whenever you have a problem and need them. You just need to mail them and with some faculty, you can have a chat on WhatsApp. I chose this course because I have an interest in the media industry and in the future want to be a part of the media industry. If we talk about the faculty-to-student ratio then it should be 80:20. In which 80 are the students and 20 is the faculty. We don't have exams in our course instead we have to do assignments. I would say that it is not difficult, instead, it is different.
Internships Opportunities
Currently I also don't know about the internship opportunities as after the completion of first year it is compulsory to do internship from an NGO and it's your choice that whether you want to search an NGO on your own and do it from that or you'll do it from an NGO which the college will provide you.
Placement Experience
Currently, I don't know about the placements of my course as there is not a single batch of our course which have been passing out as it is a new course. Even my batch is the second batch of this course and I'm in the first year. But I personally think that the placements will either be average or above average because of two reasons. First, the faculty which teaches us is industry renowned and can offer us good placement offers because of the contacts which they have. Secondly, it's a new course which they have started so they'll want the students to get high packages so that everyone will get attracted to do this course from our college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of the college is pretty high and not everyone can afford it. The fees structure of each year is different and by each passing year it's increasing. The fees which is mentioned on the website for the first year is 1,60,000 but till now I have paid over 1,80,000. Plus, the fees of the campus hostel is 1,80,000(including 10,000 security which I don't think they'll return). I didn't apply for any sort of scholarship or financial assistance. Currently, I'm in 1year so don't have any job.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is just like it should be. There is almost everything available at the campus which one needs in one's college life. The social life is just up to the mark. If one wants to socialize then they can easily do it as there are lots of people on campus and everyone wants to make new friends. There are a lot of clubs available for one to take part in it and there is at least one club for every interest. The infrastructure is also very good and is very well planned the only problem in the infrastructure through which one can come through is that the wi-fi is bad.
Hostel Facilities
The campus hostel is somewhat between average and above average. The room's were available for a sharing of three persons in each room, but due to the COVID guidelines it's currently available only for two persons in one room. There is common washroom available for all the boys, there is a water cooler, there is also a chill area in the basement of the hostel. The wi-fi quality of the campus hostel is very annoying as it's very slow and sometimes even it stops working. The registration process is quite simple but the only problem is that we have to pay the full amount in one go. The fees of the hostel is 1,80,000(including 10,000 security which I think that they'll not return). So, the hostel is not affordable for everyone.
Interview Experience
There were two processes for admission. One was that if you have above 50% in your 10 and 12 class then you just need to give an interview or if you have less than 50% in your 10 and 12 class then you have to give a test. Fortunately I had above 50% in both, class 10 and 12, so I just gave the interview and I cleared it. To be very honest the interview was very simple and I think that anyone with just a basic knowledge of the media industry can crack the interview.
