Remarks
Eligibility- more than 60 percent in PCM of 12th class, should be medically fit, should appear for IMU CET exam. Caste benefits are availed when you have to choose for different imu campuses. The admission process is normal as it holds a normal exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course as this career gives good money and for adventure There is the total count of students of 80 in a batch that is further divided into two classes of 40 each for the ratio is 40:1 Qualification of the faculty is good enough, mostly chief engineers or PhD are there. There are 2 semesters in one year and there is end semester exam every semester and two internal exams in each semester. The exam difficulty is a bit difficult for the end sem exam.
Placement Experience
As of now, the placements record are very bad for BTech (me) in the Chennai campus as it has just started. Basically, placement starts from the 3rd year but we haven't gotten any opportunities. Companies like SCI, fleet, come but don't give many placements as there are designated colleges like Kolkata and Mumbai.
Fees and Financial Aid
As I'm in 3rd year the fees have hiked to 275000 for the 1st years. If there is an offline exam there are scholarships given from college based on your rank in the end semester exams of each semester. Scholarship for other states is different based on which state you belong to.
Campus Life
There are annual fest like tempest is the biggest fest in IMU, but it is held in Kolkata campus and we can participate in it, other fests like navigate etc that are academically based are held in Chennai campus, amenities like grounds are not much good for BTech, there are not much amenities for us as it is a developing college There aren't any websites that are run by the students.
Hostel Facilities
The meals and the snacks are pretty much good for a hostel I would give 8/10 for it. The hostels are good and there is regular cleaning. 2 students are allotted in one room, it's spacious and good living There isn't any kind of registration fees for the hostel as it is included in the fees. This is a residential course so you have to reside inside the campus no matter what, You can't take any pg outside.
