Remarks
The admissions are through VITEEE, very transparent process, in 2014 up to 20000 ranks the fees were very nominal post who ranks up to 50000 were called for counseling. There is common counseling for all the campuses of VIT. The fees increase with the categories overall.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was very well designed, we had PBLs , project-based learning, and CE - Continuous evaluation for every subject every semester, be it English or engineering lab. It was very interesting to learn and do projects as a group. We were also encouraged to publish papers and a lot of emphases was given to all-around development and culture. Every class has 60 students with FFCS - Fully flexible course structure which actually gave us the flexibility to choose our subjects and faculties
Internships Opportunities
It was as part of the 8th semester where the students are allowed to do an internship for 6 months or in-house projects. the placement for this is also handled by the college during the 7th semester itself.
Placement Experience
Excellent placements we had 100% record. The average pay we saw was at least 6LPA. It starts from the 7th semester and at least 70% are placed within the 7th semester itself. They also offer internships for the 8th sem. over 200-300 companies visit the campus. around 40LPA was the highest
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees was fixed for all 4 years at 1.5L per year. The hostel was extra apart from which no other costs were involved. The top rankers are given scholarships in every branch, not very sure of the details though
Campus Life
We had Vibrance and TechnoVIT, which were the cultural and the technology fests. Over 30 clubs and each working well. It was mandatory as part of the course for 2 credits. We won a lot of national-level competitions as well. Infra for the library and the sports were extensive.
Hostel Facilities
we had 2,3,4 sharing beds, AC/ Non-AC. In terms of food, we had south, north and special mess, both veg and non-veg were separate costs. Very hygiene and good food. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner was provided.
