IIT Bombay is recognised worldwide for its education in the field of management and technology. The IITs and IIMs are the most prestigious colleges in India. The education qualities are of the highest standards that anyone can imagine. It is an honour to be part of IIT Bombay. The institute was ranked 10th and 11th position for MBA in 2019 and 2020 by NIRF. The candidate is selected based on CAT score followed by GD and PI and if you have any work experience you are given extra weightage.

Course Curriculum Overview

Without any doubt, the curriculum of IIT Bombay is of top-notch the highest industrial standards. It is a privilege to be part of such prestigious colleges. There is more focus on practical learning through case studies that are based on real industrial changing scenarios.

Internships Opportunities

The summer internship is mandatory. There are some famous companies available for internships and the college placement committee helps you out to choose from them. I was lucky enough to be part of Reliance as an intern and I got a stipend of 45000 for the 5-week internship program.

Placement Experience

IIT Bombay is more famous for engineering placement but even the management placements are far better than the rest of the so-called B-school of India. Our batch was able to secure an average salary of 22.9 LPA. During the placement of our batch, the college was able to secure a 100% placement record. The highest salary package was 33.50 LPA and the lowest was 18 LPA. Companies like Accenture, HCL Technologies, Amazon, Microsoft, Bajaj, Tata Group, TCS, Infosys visited our campus during the placement drive.

Campus Life

The college campus is mostly dominated by technical students but that does not mean that management students are left out. There are many cultural activities, Conclave, fest, and competitions for management students. The time that you will spend in IIT Bombay will become the part of your memories that you will cherish every time you remember it.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are nice and clean. The rooms are generally shared by 2 or 3 students. The mess is very hygenic and the food is very balanced and nutritional.

The curriculum of the IIT Bombay is very hectic but faculties make sure that it does not pressure you. The faculties are well experienced and full of knowledge and they know how to teach complex concepts in an easy way for you.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

Not a dream college but a real one

Placement Experience:

The placement scenerio at our caollege can be described as average overall. Most recruiting company belong to the banking and supply chain sectors. Marketing students generally have better placement opportunities, while finance and HR students do get job, though the package are not very high. Buswiness analytics has limited scope as very few companies visit the campus for the roles in that domain.

from 2 sem you get to apply from interships and from 5th sem for placements ,i applied for only company which was tiaa one of the most biggest mnc in india who is direct compitator of jp morgan , i got a package of 6 lacks ctc per anum but the highest package was 12 lacks , the college has a policy that all student gets placed no students are left behind

Promising campus with room for better faculty.

Placement Experience:

After sem 4 we get final placement companies in the campus there are total 200 plus companies come to the campus till september to november almost 35 companies already come to the campus. The companies are ICICI, HDFC, RISHAB WORLD, INSYNC, DENSTU, ITC, BHARAT ELECTRONICS, CORDELIA CRUISE, MORNING STAR, NOMURA, NYKA, NAUKRI.COM. the highest package was given by a company name bharat electronics for HR specialization is 12 lakhs per annum. Almost in my time there 35percent get placed. I plan after degree is first 3-5 yrs in corporate lufe then after own business.

To be honest there are placements but the placements are like no one want to be there it is just something unacceptable for the HR students . The promises the long talks are all false and they doesn't focus on students future and career rather they care for just attendance

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did choose this course as I am genuinely interested in management and if it is healthcare management that makes me excited. There is a different teaching faculty for each and every subject. The faculties are highly qualified market professionals and experts who teach in an extremely interactive and practical way. They are very supportive. There was one exam conducted per semester which included projects and written exams.

Remarks:

No such bad remarks though. As the college is very superior and one can take admission with complete ease as the college faculty, staff, workers are very helpful and there motive is very clear and remarkable. This college surely helps students in grooming and enhancing skill to the top. I would definitely recommend this college to the upcoming students those who are planning to do MBA in order to achieve goals and learn quality skills.

Iit Bombay the dream college

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More

Life at IIT Bombay : In and Out

Since I got IIT Bombay, this means that all other IIT s were open to me, my trade of was between college and branch, I was confused if i should take CSE in a new IIT or Chemical in IIT Bombay,, and I chose the institute, also because I reside in bombay.
