Remarks
12th pass with 65%+ score Only got admitted through jee main exam. For general in IT dept. Its cutoff is 15000, but for st, it is 60000 around. For sc and at student it is a low cutoff compared to the general one. The admission process is good. No complaint about it.
Course Curriculum Overview
This IT course is all about software like a subset of the CSE department. So all can learn who is interested in Computer.IT department has the highest package and average package is highest compared to other departments. There are 12 faculty members to 96 students. Qualification of Faculties is very high as maximum are PhD holders. It is too difficult for those who didn't study. But for a regular student, it is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Many students here go for different companies, among which Microsoft is the famous one for where 3 people got pre placement offers. There is a good opportunity to grab an internship. A college placement cell is there to conduct all these.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement .. some got PPO in Microsoft. There are quite good companies visited like Google -1 people, Microsoft -6 people. Atlassian -5 people. The highest package was 51 lakh by Atlassian. The percentage of students placement is 70-75. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good job and start something of my own.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the SC and ST students, all the tuition fees were waived. For general and OBC students whose family income is greater than 5 lakh have to pay 1 lakh per semester. For the student general and OBC whose family income is between 1 lakh and 5 lakh, they have to pay one third of the tuition fee and for the general and OBC student whose family income is below 1 lakh tuition fee fully waived. I still have not availed scholarship. Except for the tution fee waiver as my family income is below 1 lakh.
Campus Life
Here many fests are held like REBECCA,4 Days fest where 4 different nights happen and many more tech fest. There are a huge number of books in the library. The classroom is quite well maintained with good old infrastructure. Here situated two playing grounds are ovals and lords. The gymnasium is also well equipped.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are quite good but some improvement is required as the infrastructure are quite old. Meal quality is good enough every hostel has its own mess. After admission, you can apply for Hostel. The hostel is not mandatory here. The hostel will be provided according to home distance.
