1. If you are an Indian citizen then you have to clear JEE Main Examination for pursuing B.tech in this college. 2. After clearing JEE Mains exam through JOSSA under the NIT's category you can find IIEST. Admissions are done on the basis of JOSSA counseling only. 3. If you are SC/ST or PWD candidate you don't need to do anything you get a full tuition fee waiver for your whole course duration and for a General/General-EWS/OBC candidate you have to produce your(parent) income certificate. If Income is less than 1 Lakhs in a year then you get a full tuition fee waiver. If Income is more than 1 Lakhs but less than 5 Lakhs in a year then you get a waiver of 2/3 of the Tuition fee. 4. process is good.

I chose this course because of placements in Computer Science and Technology at this Institute are Great. talking about faculty: student ratio is 1:25. Most of the teachers are cool some strict too but helpful and well qualified almost everyone there is a Ph.D. holder. Talking about teaching quality most of them are next level(mark my word). Exams are of 45 min(mid-semester) and 1h30min(end-semester). Exam more or less at a good level.

Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Oracle, Pwc, wells Fargo, CESC, Deutsch Bank, and many more MNC's provide internship majority of internship stipend ranges between 40-45 thousand per month. (CST) most of the roles are software developer, software engineer, and many more.

I am from the computer science and technology branch(2021-25). talking about the placement percentage of the 2022 batch of my branch present scenario 69 out of 71 eligible students already get a placement at the beginning of the 7th semister. Still, almost 8-10 months are left for placement sessions. nows only 1-2 students left as per official data provided on their official FB page. on the basis of that, I can say that (97-98)% of students get placed. and as per my knowledge, this year is a 100% placement of CST branch(my branch). Higest Package:- 52.57 LPA(on-campus) (3 students from my branch and other students from IT, ETC branches too. Lowest Package:- 4LPA(only 2-3 students) (Remember placement is ongoing so they may get the high package in upcoming days as their peeps do) Average Package:- 17LPA (approx)(boom! it's amazing and record-breaking). Top Companies(on-campus):- Google(this year), Microsoft(9), Atlassian(4), Amazon(4), Samsung(21), Mercedes Benz(3), wells fargo(9), Deutsche bank(9) etc.

Talking aboutb about fee structure it's almost 200000 per year same as most of the NIT's have. as if you are belonging to SC/ST or pwd category than you get full tution fee waivier no need to provide Income certificate and for Genral/Genral-EWS/OBC you have to provide you income certificate for tuition fee waivier for income less than 1 lack you get full tuition fee waivier. for income more than 1 lack but less than 5 lack you get 2/3 of tuition fee waivier. their are planty of scholarships awailable from state government as well as central government and even institute provides too such as GAA-BESU, Vivekananda youth club, ASCE and many more

Life at Campus is next level. campus is Emotion. Social life is too much motivated and positive encouraging. Their are N number of Clubs and most of them are highly active such as Reflexobeta,code IIEST,DSC IIEST,EDC and many more.. Infrastruture is need modify or hostel shortage is their.. annual fest is name as REBECA(Best Annual Fest in whole KOLKATA) their are N number's of Books and Journals in the library as you can imagine it's 2nd oldest engineering college in india. all the basic amenities that is needed in classroom is available such as AC classroom and many more.. college is highly active in sports & curricular activities but due to online mood now it's unavailable. clubs run by students are code IIEST , DSC IIEST and many more

Hostel are good to live and now it is renovated so hostel is great but hostel are limited. you get the all the basic facility's that any hostel must have such as whashing machine, TV room,sports room and many more.. talking about meanl qualty is on the better to best side for non-vegiterians it's preety awasome.. mess contains breakfast,lunch and dinner. for hostel accomodation you have to mail on registerd email ID of cheaf warden. hostel is too much affordable compare to other NIT's. you can easily get rented room near the college in shibpur, Howrah
