Remarks
A proper entrance exam was conducted for the admissions into all four branches of VIT. According to your rank, you'll be given scholarships and admissions into its 4 branches. Vit Vellore is the oldest, then comes Vit Chennai, followed by VIT Bhopal and VIT Andra Pradesh. Application form for the entrance exam can be easily be found on google through viteee.ac.in the website. No reservation benefits were awarded. The admission process is quite easy, it doesn't require many changes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the CSE core course because I always had keen interest in coding. The faculties of the college are quite good, they'll be there to help you at any possible time. The faculties are highly qualified and most of them have had Ph.D. in their particular subjects. Exams always become difficult if you haven't studied for them at all, but if you certainly have, then you can score good marks quite easily. The exams were held at time, 2 times in a semester, The first ones are called midterms and then the end terms of that particular semester.
Internships Opportunities
Ge-Socs, GOldmann Sachs were the too leading ones which offered great internship offers. Stiped ranged from 25000-1lakh depending on the time for which internship was awarded. Yes, the companies focus on the projects and skills of students a lot, if you've got great coding skills and you've made extremely great projects, then you don't need to worry at all, As you'll be placed for sure with a handsome package.
Placement Experience
From the 7th semester onwards, students become eligible for campus placements. In total 700 companies visited our college last year. 2100 offers were made an approximation. The highest CTC awarded was from Microsoft to a single student. Avg package from CSE core was 8 LPA. Almost all the students got placed in some of the other company, i,e, the college saw 100 % placements. To work under some big company like Microsoft, and learn things.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee for the first year is 2,01,000. The hostel fees depend on your choice of how many bedded rooms you opt for. Scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students who excel with brilliant ranks in the entrance exams conducted by VIT. Almost every student gets placed. The highest package of last year was 45lpa from Microsoft. Avg package of CSE core was 7 LPA.
Campus Life
The college organizes fest and tech fest quite regularly so as to keep the students involved in group organizations The college has its own private library which almost consists of 10 lakh books. A lot of amenities are provided by the college, and they keep check of every need of their students. A lot of effort is given to promote sports and extra co-curricular activities. There are a lot of groups and clubs, it depends on you where and in which group you like to participate into, forex, team GArvit, team ARENA.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are quite nice and comfortable. The mess has its own 3 types that is, vegetarian, non-veg, and special mess. Yes, the hostel registration process is set up in order to allow students to choose rooms of their type and ease. The hostel rooms price ranges from 123800 to 193925. depending on your affordability, you can choose easily NO, I didn't rent any room, I used to live in the hostel.
