IIML Review

To be eligible for IIM - L You have to give CAT, I got 98.6 percentile in CAT 2020. After getting the shortlist we had a WAT and Personal Interview. The WAT topic was a general current affair topic and after that Interview was taken by the 3 faculty members. It was based on my wor experience and current affairs.

The course curriculum is very good and they keep updating their course with current industry requirements. The courses teach Finance, Marketing and Sales, Product management, consulting, economics, etc. Faculties are very helpful and supportive. The faculty: student ratio is 1:15. Exams ad quizzes happen from time to time and it helps us to be in line with the courses and academics.

IIM-L had good summer placements with major recruiters like Amazon, Accenture, BCG Deloitte, etc. The highest CTC was 2.5 lakh and the average CTC of 1.1 lakh. Sales and marketing saw most placements followed by consulting and Finance.

IIM-L is well known for its wonderful placements stats. 100% placement with the highest package of 56 lakh international and 51 lakh for domestic. The average CTC stood at 26 lakh for IIM-L. Companies were from several domains like Operation/IT, Finance, General Management, Sales, and Marketing.

The fee of IIML is about 200000, and a very good ROI. The institute provides scholarships to people who need financial assistance and clears some of the academic requirements. Also, IIM-L has partnered with several banks to provide subsidized interest rates on loans to students.

IIM-L campus life is really good, though I did not get a chance to be on the campus for a long time. The Social life is good as there are many clubs and committees which help students to work together and ideate well. The books are available both offline in the library and online and the content is quite good. A classical Aorohan cultural night is organized at IIM-L.

Though did not get a chance to be in a hostel for many days but IIM-L hostel facility is good and not very costly. There are both attached rooms and non-attached rooms. The food is quite ok. Hostels can hold a capacity of 750 students. Students can choose to share rooms as well.

This time there was no GD because of the covid situation and the entire process was online. The interview was taken by IIM faculties and mostly revolved around Work experience, current affairs, and some general hygiene questions. The interview was not very stressful but was comprehensive. To prepare you to have to be good with current affairs, Your hygiene questions and know about your work ex job well.
