Remarks
Your CAT and XAT scores determine how you get admitted. If your score is higher than the 90 percentile then you will be called for the Interview via official Mail. During the process, you will be asked to participate in GD in the first round, followed by your Interview. My interview took place on the campus itself and it went pretty smooth. All of the documentation was completed well ahead of time before the actual process began.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teaching method is very engaging, with staff members teaching students through role-plays and real-life scenarios. The student-to-faculty ratio is 1:10 and almost all the professors have done their Ph.D. The Curriculum, as well as the instructors, are the aspects of this college that I enjoy the best. With the exception of BFS, all students in the first two trimesters take the same courses. Students began studying related to their specialization in the third trimester.
Internships Opportunities
I can't share mine as I have signed NDA with the company but the college has partnered with numerous corporate people and companies and they were able to place all the students in various companies at the end of the trimester. Yes, there will be elements of choice at times; if you are ordinary you will not have enough possibilities; but, life will be sorted out there in the end.
Placement Experience
During or after the 6th term, we are entitled to sit for placement. This year 250+ firms from a variety of industries, including FMCG, BFSI, and Analytics, came to visit, including Goggle, KPMG, HSBC, Wipro, etc. The Avg. salary package was approximately 12.5 Lakhs, with the maximum package being over 28 lakhs. More than 95% of students got placed on campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
The institute fees are at par with most of the premier B-schools, with the exception that the college does not disclose a pricing structure. There is no fee hike policy in place, yet the fee is seen to increase roughly by Rs 50,000 every year. The cost to study per year is approximately 9 lakh. Financial aid is readily available without the need for collateral. At IMT, campus placements are excellent and many good companies come to campus on a regular basis.
Campus Life
The hostel rooms are very spacious, neat, and clean and the toilets are cleaned twice a day. Water coolers are located on all the floors of the hostels which are entirely air-conditioned. Meal quality is good in a mess and is served 3 meals a day. Various sports activities are organized throughout the year. The annual fest was also organized this year even in the pandemic.
Interview Experience
There were common GD topics like Glass ceiling and sales vs marketing. The GD round lasted for 25 minutes with 8-10 people in a group and the entire round was pretty intense. The college faculty took my interview regarding my work ex and basic hygiene questions like WHY MBA. Shortlisting was done based on CAT/XAT percentile, and you are chosen for various programs at IMT based on your interview.
