NMIMS is worth Going for!

To get into this college the candidate must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with science or vocational as a compulsory subject. Minimum 50 percent marks in PCM for Mumbai Navi Mumbai Indore campus and 45 percent in PCM for Shirpur campus. The application form, fees and the dates are available on the NMIMS main site and other relevant information on engineering nmims edu. For this course, you have to fill NPAT form. The NPAT exam is held online in various locations in India prior to your location. Merit list is prepared on the basis of marks scored and is announced on NMIMS main site. NMIMS also offers Scholarships to recognise and encourage higher talents by awarding them financial assistance. Special NPAT meritorious round is called before NPAT regular counselling round. 15 students from the top 100 ranks from the meritorious round are rewarded. The scholarship reward is 50000 per annum.

I chose this course because it's an integrated dual degree course which was saving me a whole year. If I would have done my BTech and MBA separately I would have invested my 6 years ( 4+ 2) but this course is of 5 years with a dual degree of B.tech + MBA. Moreover, the placements are good and better than only B.tech placements. The Faculties are well qualified and educated. All the faculties for the technical subjects are B.Tech qualified and have the knowledge about the technical background in almost all fields. Some faculties are strict but most of the faculties are friendly and they clear your all doubts so no need to think twice before asking your doubts. The teaching method is clear as the faculties have to finish the course before the meantime so that they can take the submission in the last week and hold the doubt clearing sessions. Each semester we have 2 midterms exams and then we have the Term end examination(TEE). The results are announced on the portal after a month or so of the TEE.

The college provides internship opportunities in companies like JP Morgan, Sun tech, GoComet, RBI, Barclays, etc. The hiring process is based on the resume and then you are shortlisted for the further rounds. College also Provide Technical internships. The stipend might vary from company to company. Most of the companies provide stipends of more than 5,000/month.

The placements of the college is good. If you are doing this course you can expect the minimum package of 8,00,000 - 9,00,000/- per annum. Maximum Placement every year goes upto 30,00,000 - 35,00,000/- p.a too. So you can see placements in NMIMS are good. Companies like Google, Bain, JP Morgan, Swiggy, DE shaw, Asian Paints, etc hire the students every year from the campus itself. To get a good placement you should maintain a good resume , do as much courses and internships possible and also maintain a CGPA of 3.0 or more.

The Fee structure for this course in Mumbai Campus is 2,90,000/- p.a for B.Tech and 4,50,000/- p.a for MBA. NMIMS offers scholarships to encourage students. The separate NPAT meritorious round is called before NPAT regular counselling round. The reward is 50,000/- per annum. 15 students are selected from the top 100 rank for the scholarship. The scholarship would be applicable for subsequent years if the student is maintaining the CGPA of more than 3 without any backlog till completion of the program.

The Infrastructure of the college is way too amazing. It is famous for its infrastructure and its glass building. There are bullet lifts in college. There is also underground Parking near our college. The campus has a very big canteen and area to chill. The library is good and the equipments provided by the college are top-quality equipment. The whole campus has a centralised Air Conditioner. Classrooms have Projectors and Smartboards too. The sitting is very comfortable and you can use your laptops in class for typing down the notes. The Annual Fest of college is one of the attractions. Sattva every year is held with the best crew and the most fun activities. Different famous personalities from Bollywood and Music Industry also come and take part in the event.
