Remarks

It is the first time DU has taken applications online. The 2020 batch is the first ever to do so. Nonetheless, all preparations are current and effective. All cutoffs and queries are listed on the new website. Responses can be submitted on the website easily. For each of the courses, all information has been provided at the time of the cut-off. English and Maths are permanent prerequisites for B.Com (Hons.). In addition, your original documents must be updated and correctly filled out. Last but not least, your overall percentage must be present in four subjects (including English and Maths). All documents must be up-to-date, even if you have reservation benefits. It's important to wait for your documents to arrive before making any changes. Be sure to keep them safe. So, the admission process is nice and slow. Yet, students might have difficulty locating relative options on the screen. It should solve right away.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is popular among the Commerce background. The syllabus, application, opportunities and placements are better than any other course. It could be difficult in last semesters. However, that may result in good soft skill development and an opportunity to explore options. The faculty serves different subjects. The ratio is about 20:180, teaching different subjects to different sections. The teaching is quite ineffective due to online studies. It took time to explain things and due to strict schedule. The faculty may overlooked some topics. Consequently, the each semester were about 6 months long. However, due to lockdown and covid breakout. It decreases to 4 months. So, the online exams happened. They're difficult. But, somes help from students may come handy. They're other sources as well. However, use your help wisely.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

For internships, placement is not on average. Given the details, I give before. Most of the companies are startups, edtech specifically. Almost every one of them are unpaid. Even, it is incentive and referable based. You need to spread the word about the company. And make them buy their waste courses. However, at the end of the tenure. Students face scams from the startups. They don't get paid and not even a certificate. Most of the positions are social media marketing, affiliate marketing, content creator and human resources. All are basic roles. But, the foremost thing is your dedication. If you get a perfect internship. Then, congratulations. You are good to go. You may even get letter of recommendation and PPO.

Placement Experience

4

You can apply for internships and volunteer programs from you first semester. However, placement opportunities demands students from 5th & 6th semester. The placement cell ain't good as you think. You can some reputed companies such as Wipro, EY, Dilliote, Infosys and Amazon. However, the competition is very much difficult to crack. From tests to different interviews. You may loose some time. Yet, if you're committed. Then, you're welcome. Furthermore, placement opportunities are all verified and secured. So, you don't need any third connection or registration. Competition will be difficult but fair. Fairness among placement cell is thing I love the most. Overall, for placement it's good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly cost is low. Even, students from tier 2 and 3 cities are good to go. Just make sure manage your expenses during stay. Your financial assistance is based on Family's income, your reservation status and various scholarships, if you need any assistance. From Conveyance to reduction in fees and help for food. From placement cells, they are various opportunities. However, they're not good as you think it is. Almost everyone of them are not paid. And half of them don't provide you offer letters. As a result, you may be scammed without any incentives (if there's incentive internship). Yet, the placement opportunities are based on minimum roles. If you get hands on good internships other than college offers. You may get job offers and a good network without any placement cell assistance.

Campus Life

4

We haven't been on campus before. Due to all haste and virus breakout. However, online groups and friend circles are good. You may participate in societies and different programs. A prominent chance to interact with students throughout India. All students will be very excited to connect one another. The extra curriculum activities are good. Even, they're online. They are fun.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
