Remarks

After getting my JEE advanced rank. I was confused about what to go for, a good course like CSE in a lower-ranked college or a lower rank course in the best college. I went for the latter. IIT Bombay is the best engineering college in India. The best thing about my college is the exposure it gives in all the fields.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was not that much interested in academics. So, I might be the wrong person here. In any case many of the faculties were encouraging with some outliers. 8 on 10 could be a good score overall. Thanks.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are immense. Almost, all the students got placed. Alumni network is very strong as we get mails from various different companies for recruiting through our Alumni network.

College Events

Asia's largest festivals are there in our college. For example: Mood Indigo and Techfest (Cultural and Technical festivals). E summit is also a great management festival. They are festivals with budget in crores and footfall in lakhs.

Campus Life

We had all kinds of sports grounds and courts. Name any sport and we had a dedicated area for playing the same. Wifi was available at decent speeds. Library was amazing and it also had a 24*7 reading room.

My SBS Journey

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

I did applied for iit delhi also as it was my home town but got IIT Bombay as it was much better for me because of placements and brand value. so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
