This is the only college affiliated by Delhi University which offers degree in vocational course. So i opted for my passion, that is, tourism. And i chose this college as this was the only and the best option.
Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly saying, the course syllabus is quite outdated. Even the faculties say that but yes, the faculties are enough helpful that they try their best to provide real life knowledge, out of the books. They understand the cons of outdated syllabus and personally try to impart as much essential knowledge as possible alongwith course syllabus. So, one thing which is commendable about the college apart from DU affiliation is the quality of faculty. They are extremely helpful for every student. Favouritism exists the least here.
Placement Experience
There is a recognised Placement cell of the college which is really active and also provide training to the students for easier Placements. Also, faculty members help on their part too to provide quality placement to students. The HOD's of particular departments take active participation in Placements to help the students. The college provides vest opportunities but the final scenario lies in the hands of students only. So Placements and training are upto the mark.
College Events
College of Vocational Studies is a renowned college for campus life, events and extra-curricular activities. Their are literally more than 30 societies in the college and trust me, there is an event going on in college everyday, either minor or major but yes EVERYDAY. The variation of students from all over the country with varying traditions, language, and culture is something really interesting. Rhe crowd of college is best without any doubt or second thought.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, i never listened of any scholarships in the college. So, i think there ain't any. And the fee is really low as it a government college so I have never seen anyone talking of loan and all.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is okay-okay. Being a 50 year old building of DU, I never expected something better. All basic facilities are provided. Some developments are ofcourse demanded but still, I'll term it as satisfactory.
Hostel Facilities
Sorry, the college doesn't has hostel facility. But it located at a prime location where unlimited PG facilities are there for students and at walking distance only. South delhi is a bit posh area so the PGs are relatively not so cheap but if you want a pocket friendly one then you can search in Madangir. Madangir is close to college and metro station as well.
