Remarks
Going for engineering was the most secure option for me at the time. Also, being a Foreign (US) Citizen, I was not eligible for a lot of entrance exams. Some colleges (like NITs) had a quota for foreign citizens or NRIs called DASA (Direct Admission for Students Abroad) which I could avail. For this I had to simply give the SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and get the highest score possible.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty - Faculty to Student Ratio was approx 1:50 which is decent. While some of the faculty were undoubtedly great, some were definitely not at par. Some of the professors are well educated in what they taught and delivered content well while some were not at all. Some may have been well-versed but could not communicate ideas as well. Courses - Some of the courses were useful while some were completely unnecessary - covering content which are totally outdated. E.g Mobile App Development is for some reason oddly a mandatory course and the course content covers technology from 5 -10 years ago - stuff which is absolutely irrelevant now. Difficulty wise, it's not a big deal to pass but it's definitely difficult to attain and maintain very high scores. The standard is high and so is the competition. Moreover, I did not go through the rigour of preparing for JEE - so was a bit more difficult for me to keep high scores.
Internships Opportunities
No, I have not opted for an internship through college internship placement programs.
Placement Experience
I am going for a MS in CS Degree (for Game Development) in the US. But from observation, I can say that job opportunities are great for students! In CSE, nearly all students get placed in a more-than-decently paying company.
Campus Life
I enjoyed hostel life a lot. Made a lot of close friends. Clubs & Activities - NIT Trichy has a very rich culture surrounding clubs and activities. There is massive and focused engagement on all sorts of areas ranging from Sports to Research on Robotics to Web Dev to Meditation.Fests - NIT also hosts a number of fests which are well-known across India including Festember, NITTFest and the tech-fest Pragyan.Library - NITT has quite a big library with books on all topics imaginable, though mostly academic (naturally)

No. The SAT scores were enough. During admission, just had to submit required documents. Hence, I am putting a random answer for the next question. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
