Remarks

One of the best private sector college in the east zone and also the top in the Biju patnaik university technology with great infrastructure with many educational. And a good cafeteria to hang out with amazing greenery and a big swimming pool.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus were updated.No not enough industrial exposure was done they dealed with good practical and theory of the subjects but industrial vist was not done, high educated group of professionals always ready to guide the students. Profsantosh panda he was my project guide a great human being a, a greater leader, a geart guru.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 163000 per year

No i did not poted for any internship.

Companies like infosys, wipro, bash, byjus vist with there campus drives. At my time byjus took the higgest placement amount of 10 lpa for 2 students and and many more.badh technology hired many candidates around 20-30% candidates, rest were selected at wipro,infosys, tcs.

Every year nist organize tech feats called sankalp students fron diffrent colleges come to enjoy and take part in technical events this tech fest is of two days the whole college is decorated lightened up, nist also helsd sports event on the sports day different sports events are held and stutends from different college come and compete, also organises anual function called waves.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes nist provides book scholarship to the students and also help the required students with academic finance to the worthy one. By checking out there previous scores and background.Also anh scholarships are available which we can avail by being eligible and being updated about the notice board.

Campus Life

Great infrastructure with many educational buildings with a cafeteria at the centre of and swimming pool, followd by aquarium, beautiful emu birds nd swans, wifi access all over the campus, one of the biggest library in the zone and labs that can deal with any technical experiment.

Hostel Facilities

Nist has got two indoir hostel for boys hr 1 and hr 2 nd 1 big hostel for girls (in campus).And around more 6 hostels are spread over the city. Were the new student who join are kept for the first year and then they are shiffted in campus hostel from the 2nd year rooms are big spacious, good hostel food,free wifi access all over.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.

As i didn't score much in my entrance exams I had to opt for tier 2-3 colleges from which as i am from odisha and many of my realtives and friends suggested NIST University. My College Life.

I didn't applied in any other colleges. I joined this college because the rules and regulations and the faculty members are good. The college provides an average placement of 9 LPA to the students and placements of highest package 25 laksh in MNCs like Accenture,Tata,Texas Instruments etc. To get admission in my college a student have to clear JEE exam with a good percentile and have to book seat and then have to wait for the joining list to be released by the college once it is released the student can get admission by paying the joining fees on the joining date...Read More
